That's questionable!!!PG isn't a better 2 way player than Klay.
No it wouldnt, fuck the Clippers and fuck Jerry WestMaybe? It would be nice to see the Clippers win the Pacific Division for once.
LOL, yeah, I'm with ya!!!No it wouldnt, fuck the Clippers and fuck Jerry West
Serious question as I don't know.....did he really force the trade? Or did OKC just get a call from LAC and thought it was a good deal for them?If once was to look from outside and in, one time may be a coincidence. But twice??? Well...
Fuck it, PC13's nuthuggers, as always will continually detract the blame to his surroundings regardless of circumstance.
Just like two years ago.

The answer is yes Paul George was directed by Leonard to ask for a trade. It's pretty obvious that the Clippers was the only team in the NBA who knew George wanted a trade. On the other hand 4 first round draft picks and Gallinari was a pretty high payment for a player who had problems with his shoulder last year, so Oklahoma might have seen a good chance to unload an injury prone player. The only report that I've seen is that Kawhi actually contacted PG about joining him on the Clips. Then PG went to OKC and asked for a trade which OKC decided to go ahead and do.
But the odd thing about that report is that it's also been said that OKC was looking to trade both PG and Westbrook to the Raptors, but the Raptors couldn't give them as many picks as the Clips could.
So, I don't know if the Raptors tried to make their trade first in an attempt to keep Kawhi and that's what gave Kawhi the idea or what.
I'm sure there will be more details later. But that's all I've seen so far.
The Clippers are contenders...

Hurricane started a thread that makes sense...
Clearly the apocalypse has begun.
So the guy who has never been named to an All-NBA defensive team and was looked as a liability on defense until recently?!?
On the offensive side of the ball — NO DOUBT. I’d take Durant over anyone in the NBA as he is impossible to guard and can shoot over anyone you put on him.
Once again — I said TWO WAY PLAYERS. That means elite on both ends of the court.
LOL My OP here is no different from the nature of my summer of '17 posts regarding George. Literally the only difference was that back then George had actually wanted to go to your team.

KD isn’t a two way player? Ok.
For most of his career, KD was a liability on defense, whether simply not interested, or incapable of it.
He was not James Harden bad. But, he was a very below average defender in OKC.
He seemingly overnight learned defense in Golden State. He was much much better.
That might be coaching. It might be his desire to win a ring. It might be having a lesser load on offense....probably all 3.
He is going to be 32 years old and coming off a huge injury.
He is going to be back being the isolation superstar in New Jersey.
Old Age and Isolation offense workload demands tend to make a player get lazy on defense.
My guess is that he will be a below average defender in Brooklyn all over again like he was in OKC.
All seems reasonable. And if so, not sure the idea he forced the trade is completely accurate. Seems more like he just asked. Slight difference IMO.The only report that I've seen is that Kawhi actually contacted PG about joining him on the Clips. Paid off for the Lakers who got Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown
Yeah, from everything I've read, it doesn't sound like he forced anything.
Based on some of what has come out, it doesn't like the Raptors were ever truly in the mix.
From the look of what has been reported, it seems that Kawhi was coming back to LA and it was just a question of which team he would join.
I think the Clippers were probably his preferred team, but he didn't want to go there by himself.
In retrospect, it seems the Clips were always the preferred team and he was disingenuous leading the Lakers along, using them as a bargaining tool more than anything. Could've saved the Lakers and their fans a lot of time by letting them know they were out early on. I can't believe he was ever really serious about the Raptors either, as that team is teetering on wholesale free agency next year with some key pieces aging out of their primes. They were strung along as well until Kawhi could find his PIC to come to the Clips with him.
I disagree to a point. I think his decision really hinged on the Clips getting another top player and it truly took that long for the PG trade to get worked out.
I agree that the Clips were probably his preferred destination, but he wasn't going by himself.
