Not really. There's a reason that superteams get shown on national tv a lot.

It's been shown over and over that people watch superteams. Some are watching and hoping they fail, others are watching and hoping they win...but they're watching.
Only if the team I root for plays against them otherwise I won't bother to watch.

You can say what you want about Jimmy Butler being ass, but let's review:

Chicago - By all accounts got tired of the situation in Chicago, and the front office there has no clue in what they're doing.

Minnesota - Apparently grew tired of KAT and Wiggins lack of work ethic and desire to win. Forced his way out of there.

Philly - Literally offered him a max deal to stay.

And now he's in Miami to be the lead man. He apparently has an issue with teammates that don't want to win and doesn't like losing - what horrible qualities. And in terms of mileage. For 6 straight seasons that spans from Chicago to Minnesota, he's averaged around 36 - 38 MPG and hasn't been past the 2nd round. I think he'll be fine.

But let me know how Cleveland is doing at the bottom of the league again. Enjoy hovering around the Knicks and the Suns....again.
Butler never was a team player.

Idk maybe he didn't go to the best organizations but Jimmy is the same guy wherever he goes. Philly was actually a great situation for him, he had great players around him and he was winning. Not sure I want him as a lead dog on a team that is destined for a 1st round loss, possibly getting to the 2nd round. He says he loves Miami and all that but if wants to win...why did he leave Philly? A young talented team that was literally one shot away from beating the NBA Champions. I really don't get Butler, he seems like a problem.

We will see how it works out. Just like the Whiteside contract and most of the contracts Riley has signed guys to in the last few years, I have a feeling this one will be a disaster as well.

And the Cavs are, once again, doing it a lot smarter than the Heat.

The Heat are what? This year, maybe if EVERYTHING goes right under the best of circumstances and shit goes wrong for a few other teams in the East, they are a 5 seed and highly likely a first round knockout? Most likely a 6 or 7 seed and a first round ass kicking?

Sorry if that does not sound that appetizing.

Say what you want about Jimmy Butler but he is a top 20 player and one of the best 2 way players in the league.

Every move the Heat make is bad according to Wiggy.

Can't take a guy like that seriously

Yeah, finishing off a season where you went 19-63 and got the 5th pick in the lotto definitely sounded like a great year.

Oh shit I'm a decade older than you. You come across like a codger.

This might explain things a bit, you were too young to remember the 1980s superteams.

Which 80s superteams?

Lakers and Celtics?

Maybe he wants to be the lead man while trying to win. Time will tell.

Wiggins was 22 and Towns was 21 when Butler got to Minnesota.

I am sure they traded for a very talented player hoping that he would become a leader. Instead he called out his teammates that were barely old enough to legally drink in the media, and purposefully became such a problem that he had to be moved.

The Bulls preferred to move him rather than keep him around their young guys. The Sixers were probably overjoyed to get Richardson and Horford instead of Butler (which is basically what it comes down to).

Every where the guy goes someone else is the problem and not him. That usually tells you something.

I don't think it is a bad move or anything close to it. I just don't get Butler and never have. Philly was a great situation for him especially if he really does want to win. Maybe he didn't like the locker room, players, etc. so I can't fault him for wanting to go where he wants to go but I don't want Butler as my #1. Just my opinion. If he can last two years and they sign another bigtime FA, it could end up working out.

I'm sure he was an ass at times towards teammates, but probably in a similar manner to how Kobe was. But looking at Minnesota and Chicago specifically, those teams were significantly worst once he left them. It'd be one thing if he did this to great organizations like the Spurs. But Minnesota and Chicago are ran like shit.

i liked the Whiteside trade for Harkless and Leonard!!!

but yah.....i hate most of the moves because most are terrible.

They have done pretty well with the few draft picks they have had though in Winslow, Richardson, and Bam (though they turned down 4 first rounder from the Celtics for the Winslow pick---- and Bam was a solid late lotto pick but hardly a "steal"). Richardson ended up being one of the better 2nd round picks of the last few years in the NBA.

Waiters signing was mediocre to bad. J. Johnson signing was very bad. Tyler Johnson signing was plain awfull. Whiteside signing was awful. Olnyk signing was mediocre to bad.

We are going a few years back now, but the Dragic trade was solid, but they owe an unprotected first rounder for it coming up, and with the new lotto odds and teams jumping up with more regularity it could end up being an unmitigated Titanic/Hindeburg of a disaster if thigns fall wrong.

I respect you.

You & @dtgold88 are much more honest than Wiggy.

I don't respect wiggy

If I had a choice, I wouldn't want him as my #1 but if the choices are him/J-Rich then I'm going Jimmy. I also think Miami is not a shit show (when it comes to organizations/coaches) as it was in Chicago/Minny so I think he'll be fine when it comes to his attitude. Even Wade had an issue in Chicago and as for Minny, Rose made similar comments about Towns as Butler did.

In Philly, he had no issues. The coach even made a comment about Butler being the "adult" in the room during the playoffs.

He will be fine in Miami as a teammate. Is he probably better off as a 1B/#2? Yeah but if my choices are him or J-Rich then give me Jimmy

I'm sure you not watching will make a huge dent in the NBA's tv revenue. lol
I'm sure my not watching won't make any kind of dent in the NBA's team revenue but that was not my point.
