I guess if you wanted the actual answer, there wasn't any other team I was gonna "focus" on but I could watch the league as a whole with the more unpredictable nature of not having a clear title favorite(it'd probably be Toronto because they just won it all). Having a team of Kawhi, LeBron, and AD together and they just so happened to be on the franchise I hate most makes me think it's like the Warriors getting KD all over again, who ran through most opponents in the playoffs on their way to B2B titles which probably ends up being 3 in a row had KD and Klay not gotten hurt. If these back to back dominant teams weren't Kings division rivals who I dislike maybe it's easier to still enjoy the NBA because if they win it's not as bad, but that's not the case. If you wanna say I'm not a true NBA fan because of that go ahead, I really don't care.
Not trying to make a thing out of this, I just don't get the superteam hate when there has almost always been a dominant franchise. I'm pretty pumped to see what that team looks like if Kawhi goes there and I don't like the Lakers one bit.

Yes they become the new Warriors, and it's fun to root against the superteams isn't it?

Having 3 top 10 players on one team is too much super for one superteam to have. I get superteams have been a thing forever but I'm not a fan of guys teaming up with multiple other all stars/all NBA players to make their chances of winning it all way easier. I enjoyed the Heat big 3 losing and was happy the Warriors lost(although they weren't much of a superteam at the end), if the Lakers get Kawhi and they fail to win it all that'll be even better than those instances. My biggest frustration is it being back to back superteams in the Kings division, one is their norcal rival and the other is their most hated rival. That combined with the Kings being stuck in a decade plus drought is not fun.

Fox, Buddy, Bagley, Bogi, Barnes, Giles, and Yogi all at the Kings summer league game supporting the team, what a good group of guys.

Unfortunately it seems this is how the league is now, the players run it, they team up wherever to play with their friends and mix and match. Curry (Westbrook?) might be the last superstar to stay with one team, ever. There's something lost from the old days for sure, but this is the era now. Superteams forming and dying and others rising. Players wanting to play with their buddies...apparently a lot of chatter here is about how KD and Kyrie basically planned this from day 1 beginning of this season...they just want to play together...the money at these levels doesn't matter (which is why these guys so often take less than the max to...play with their friends (DeAndre))

It's the state of the sport, I try to enjoy this era and remember the past ones had great stuff too. It's still great, just different. Have to admit the talent level is the best it's ever been.

I get it, but it's hard to enjoy when they team up on teams I root against already. Also doesn't help that the Kings will most likely never be a place a few top FA's will want to sign with to form a super team no matter how good their core players/FO are. I guess playing together during all star weekend isn't good enough anymore.

So the Warriors run of dominance is over and instead of having the NBA be somewhat competitive again Kawhi is gonna be a bitch and ruin the league? I guess I'll have to only focus on Kings games again next season.

Yep. Disappointing

Woj on Sportscenter with SVP;

"There is no market for Demarcus Cousins"

Ouch. Said teams aren't even really looking at giving him the mid-level and he could be staring at the vet minimum again. That's gotta suck. Turned down a sizable chunk of change from the Pels last season thinking he could ring chase with the Dubs and get a bigger deal this summer. Now there's no deal and he didn't even get a ring

yeah, I get it from a "casual fan" point of view. but let's face it, man. every team is gonna take an "unfair advantage" whenever they can to get titles...

Of course. No issue with what they're trying to do. Got to do whatever necessary to win a title.

True - I think it’s just the concern about overall enjoyment. We’ll all still love basketball, but it would be more enjoyable if Kawhi was in Toronto or on the Clippers or anywhere else where he won’t be teamed up with 2 of the top 10 players in the league.

By the way, is there something wrong with these players who constantly want to team up with other elite players? It seems uncompetitive, like they’d rather take the easy way out.

It’s surprising when their success is a bit limited. Have any of these super teams won more than 2 titles?

They dont stay together more than 3-4 years, usually to hard to stay together with cap snd other issues

I have never had any issue with whatever choice any FA makes.
I'm not thrilled with what A.D. did, or any other player who causes drama while under contract.
As far as super teams, if franchises have the ability to get it done, then why not?

Yea exactly....I'm just thinking about myself TBH and how competitive the league can be if Kawhi went to LAC or back to Toronto. League can be up for grabs for the first time in a long time. There would be close to 10 title contenders if he doesn't go to the Lakers.

But yeah as an organization, you try to get the best team possible. Had no issues with what the Warriors did. I was more disappointed in KD for going there. It would be the same here basically. No issue with the Lakers but would be a little disappointed in Kawhi especially since he won multiple rings already without needing the help of another superstar.
