You'd predict a decade of titles for the Lakers (minimum) if they landed AD.
No I wouldnt.

I have to much common sense, to make stupid predictions, but......

I'd sure be a happy fan:D

wouldn't Kyrie be a good fit with AD, as well?

Sure.

But I keep seeing Kyrie linked with Brooklyn.

If Kyrie goes Brooklyn as expected, maybe NY looks at their rebuild a bit different.

Still think KD and AD would be a pretty good plan, but very risky.

Apparently Griffin wants Kuzma in this deal. So I guess he wants Kuzma, Ball and Ingram plus the 4th pick AND for the Lakers to get a 3rd team into the deal to get another 1st rounder? Pulling all the strings

They got the chance to have Kuzma. Along with everyone else on the Lakers team not called Lebron and they declined it in February.

The pelicans don't have any leverage any more, especially since Rich Pauls statement this morning. Boston isn't going to throw any extra players in for a one year rental.

Ingram, Lonzo and the #4 pick is literally the best offer on the table right now. Don't want it? The Lakers can wait.

I’d make a bet with you that a trade will be agreed on before the draft but by then you’ll probably be arrested for jerking it in the local middle school girls changing room.

Hmmm, do I want to risk my undefeated avi bets record on avi bets on this idiot?

One week would be tempting, but I'm not sure the reward would be worth it.

Well for one, they may have declined it in February but that doesn't matter now. They have new leadership, plus there's more teams that can make trades since its the offseason. Also, the Pels have more leverage than you think. Just because they are actively talking with the Lakers/Cs right now doesn't mean they won't explore trades with other teams if they ultimately decide to not take a deal with either of them. Griffin has indicated he wants to get a deal done before the draft to take advantage of that draft, but that doesn't necessarily mean he will ONLY take deals before the draft. It's just preferable, not required. They still have a lot of leverage here and the Lakers can't really afford to play hardball too much.

Like say they can't flip #4 for another star like the Pels want, LA refuses to include Kuz and just stick with what you said. The Pels could just as easily say no and open up talks with other teams. Who's to say the Nets don't step up and make a nice offer? Or some surprise team? Like what if Portland built something around McCollum/Zach Collins? AD then is on that team for year and decides "You know what? I really like playing with Dame (Portland) or Kyrie (Nets)? Then the Lakers just screwed themselves (again). They will have wasted yet another year of Lebron. They have to get another star no matter the cost. They made that bed when they signed Lebron. Like I said earlier somewhere, if they want to attempt to do this by keeping Kuz for now, fine. But if things break down and the only option to get the deal done is to include him and they refuse, that's incredibly foolish

Here lies the problem for the Pelicans though: What team is going to offer a better deal than Ingram, Lonzo and #4?

Especially since its been known he wants to play in LA or NY, especially since his agent came out with the comment today and especially since the highest coveted player in this years FA class just tore his achilles and will be out for most of the season.

Even IF a team like the Nets or Blazers were willing to take a chance and HOPE that AD stays past a year, what players and picks do those teams have to offer that trumps the Lakers'? Realistically.

There's a reason only the Lakers and Celtics are talking to the Pelicans right now.

Boston believes that trading for AD is the best chance they have for getting Irving to stay I call it a Hail Mary because even with AD, Irving most likely leaves. I think Ingram, Ball and the 4th pick is a very good offer. The Knicks dont have anything and neither does Boston:suds:

Ingram, Lonzo and 4 isn't all that strong though. It is possible nobody else offers better, but I kind of doubt that gets it done.

I am surprised there isn't more chatter about the Knicks right now. They should be aggressively in these talks given AD's wish list. Because I believe AD probably resigns in NY, but he probably does not pick them over LA next summer if he ends up in a rental team.

I've seen Kyrie linked to NY, Brooklyn and LA (or staying). But never out of Kyrie's mouth.

don't forget these deals went down without many (any?) knowing the teams were in talks

Kyrie to Cs
CP to Houston
Blake to Detroit
PG to OKC
Harris to Philly
