No way do the Rams trade Bradford to draft Luck. Bradford was really good last year, but with injuries, and an absolutely brutal schedule, you can't just drop him.

I disagree with your evaluation of Bradford. He was 25th in the league in passing. He averaged under 6 yards an attempt. His team beat 7 horrible teams. I don't think he has proven anything and I think it would be a mistake for most teams to pass on Luck.

I would draft Luck, assess him through mini-camps, and then decide to trade either him or Bradford. And I'd bet it'd be Bradford.

I believe St. Louis would trade either Luck or Bradford during the draft. Likely Bradford.

After last night, I have no doubts that the Colts are the worst team in the league. Miami got "Tebow'ned" but I think they would win against the Colts. I'm not sure what I would bet if the over/under on the Colts win total is 2. Push or under I suppose.

He was the rookie of the year last year, and threw for 3600 yards and more TDs than INTs. This year, he's been hampered by the hardest schedule in the league, and injuries. I wouldn't drop him already for Luck.

Luck is a once in a generation prospect. Bradford's showed promise, but I think he gets traded if Luck is available

I think the Rams win some games in the second half anyway. They played a brutal schedule to start the year, but get into some winnable games the rest of the way.

This. The only way I see a team passing up on Luck is if they have Peyton Manning on their roster, and even then it's not guaranteed. None of the other teams in the running will.

I don't see the Colts winning any games:

@Tennessee
Atlanta
Jacksonville
Carolina
@New England
@Baltimore
Tennessee
Houston
Jacksonville

They have 2 easier games against Jacksonville, and that's it.

One of those Jax games is on the road..... I expect that they should beat the Jags at least once. And they might have a shot against Tennessee - Especially if Hasslebeck finally breaks down (he is getting old). That said, it wouldn't shock me to see them lose out.

I like Bradford but if St L. did get the #1 pick I'd take Luck and deal Bradford...would make sense economically too with the new CBA. Luck just looks phenomenal every time I see him play. he's off the charts.

It would be so unfair if the Colts got Luck. I hope St. Louis gets the No. 1 pick. That would make things real interesting.

Would St. Louis still be on the hook for the guaranteed money to Bradford? Anyway, taking the chance on Luck wouldn't be a bad move for St. Louis. Looks like the sky's the limit for Luck, while Bradford has shown himself to be injury-prone.

that's a good question. I would assume guranteed money is just that..guranteed. I'm sure St. L could get a kings ransom for the #1 pick but I'd still have to take Luck. I'm just floored everytime I see that kid play. Bradford aint too shabby either, though. They could do alot worse as far as young QB's go.

The only guaranteed money in football is the signing bonus. So it just depends how that signing bonus is distributed. Typically, a player will get a large sum before his first season or before the first 2 seasons, and then the remainder will be divvied over the course of a number of years and given at the beginning or end of any decided season(s).

So, Bradford will have likely already received the largest portions of his signing bonus, and whatever team traded for him would be obligated to pay him the rest at the original agreed upon times.

It should also be noted, at times we see teams that trade players with larger signing bonuses agree to pay any remaining bonus. This could be the case for St. Louis to soften the burden and further entice another team to trade for him.

I think it would depend on what was being offered to the Rams for the 1st pick as opposed to Bradford. If somebody was willing to trade more for the pick than they are for Bradford, they have to take that into consideration.

Bradford isn't tradeable. He was signed under the old rookie scale. You can draft the same type of first round talent for half the price now.

QB is such a vital commodity, though. If Carson fucking Palmer can yield what will most likely be a first and a second rounder with a bloated contract then Bradford is tradeable. Love the new wage scale, btw. Good for the game.

The Colts are one of the worst teams I've ever seen. I think it's a reflection of their HC who is clearly in way, way, way over his head. Caldwell makes Marv look like Belichek

Yeah, it would appear that when the Colts lost their QB, they also lost their head coach.......
