Im hoping we do something before the draft its really getting boring now.

There ya go las. Traded a 5th for Hayes’ rights. 55 points last year, 6-5 220. Twitter seems to be mostly positive. He drives play decently, mostly his team generates more offense from the slot when he’s on the ice. And other teams generate less from the slot when he’s on the ice.

Definite undecided here. Depends on the contract or lack there of for me. He’s got ‘way overpaid’ written all over to me, but we’ll see how it shakes out.

Have to think TB does everything they can to keep him. They have a little space, but they’ve gotta sign quite a few guys. Point, Vasilevski, Segachev..

Would help on the PK as well I expect.

He's a good player but not great. I'd expect him to be a third line center for Philly and if so he'd be very good there....young kids improving should help this cause.

Yea I'm afraid of the price tag on this to, I have a feeling this guy may think he is way better than he is.

Last year he wanted a 5 year $5.5 mil per deal
Well...i retract maybe that is not THAT terrible. I would maybe like to see something with MAX 5mil per, preferably less than 5 year commitment, as big as he is

He fits what we need. A 2nd/3rd line center who can play a two way game. He can take some minutes on the PK and has size although he doesn't use his size that often.I hope we dont over pay for him like we did last year in FA.

At least we have something to talk about wooohoooooo!!!

He wont get 8 million per like we did i FA last year. He should come in around 4.5-5 million per year i hope. He plays a two way game and i believe he is familiar with Vignault's system.

I like that he can play on the PK as well as put up points. Im hoping he doesn't cost to much and if he does i hope it not for a lot of years.

gotta think he is going to make at least 5.5, probably closer to 6, since he was at 5.175 last year...

True I guess that's about right. If he can help us on the PK the extra money is worth it. I hope its not for too long though.

How about that game last night. It was a classic with 85 total bone crushing hits. We would never survive a 7 game series playing that style.

Brock Nelson set the bar at 6 x $6 mil. and a NTC, and I would argue that Hayes is a slightly better player than Nelson.

Anyone know Fletcher's history with giving out NTCs and NMCs? EDIT - other than Parise and Suter, looks like he's only given out a few modified NTC's.

Also, JVR got $7 mil per not $8 mil.
