Not true. I’m a Rhodes scholar and did a semester at sea and I laugh at those actors’ movies. Trust me, it’s you that doesn’t get it.

I find interesting that in the last century we’ve only had 400 Rhodes scholars. Most attended Harvard first. It’s amazing of the 400 elite elite scholars in our country over the last century you are one of them. I mean Presidents, Supreme Court Judges the guy who designed the Hubel telescope, ... and fucking Handi

NFL players work just as many hours in a year as baseball players do.

I'd pick the 16 games because I like football more than baseball. But I'd do so knowing I would be putting in an equal amount of work....and the work was a lot harder.
Working out and getting treatments is not work. Many of us pay to do it after an 8 hour + day. Studying plays while on vacation in the Caribean isn't work either.
Bottom line even practice (as limited as it is in the NFL now) is not work. They're getting paid to play a game, many of us (depending on the sport and level) paid to play growing up. Thanks Mom and Dad.
I like many others here would trade anything to play a pro sport. Especially one that only had a 16 game season.

This post is spot on.

The CBA has some issues that need to be fixed imo, but the players could be so much better in house when it comes to top to bottom income...the minimum should be a million for starters. Ability to substantially accelerate a rookie contract when warranted.

Well just in the general public when unions try to act like the NFLPA they utterly fail. Most unions are out for themselves I guess in a way, but they don’t sign CBA after CBA that pits the top members against the bottom. The NFLPA has the most leverage out of any of the major sports union because of the popularity of the sport and the fact that there is public sympathy over the whole concussion fiasco. They complain about Goodell, which is understandable, but these dumbasses in the last CBA gave him more power than all of the other commissioners combined.

All unions f**k over the newbies for the sake of seniority. It’s the nature of what they do.

They’ll come to a deal just like last time. People will scream & piss & moan; every public statement will be hyperbole, and the salary cap will go up by about the same rate it always has. The difference will be negligible one way or the other, and the ca$h cow will continue to graze.

No other union in the entire country fuck over the new guys and mid tier scale guys though. The MLBPA and NBAPA do too in a way but they have structured it where a mid tier player gets more money than a lot star NFL players in the long run. The NFLPA has it as it stands where 90% of the guys their CBA screws over isn’t playing football by the their contracts run out.

So let’s “make it fair”.

Bullshit. Because everyone has different talents, drive, work ethic, etc

Again, two totally different topics. How can you not see this.
1. Yes, people have different talents and abilities and they should fill their niche. I agree with that but it has nothing to do with...
2. You got beat up by your husband, “Oh well, life ain’t fair is it”

How you can compare the two just shows me how bad you want to prove someone wrong. Those 2 topics have NOTHING to do with each other.

Settle down Sol... you know you’re arguing with a Rhodes Scholar. His brilliant intellect can’t be beat. Did I mention an under par golpher, 5 black belts, 4.29 forty as well?

the owners make money when the players strike. Expenses are down and they still get the revenus from TV and merchandising.

A strike benefits maybe 25% of the players if that. They should bargain for more years of health insurance after their playing days, pot removed from banned substance and less power for Roger when disciplining the players. All very much accomplish-able.

All except the last one though. You don’t give away power like they did last time around and expect anything remotely close to getting it back. No union gives away something like that then in the next round wants it back to how it was without giving a massive concessions such as an 18 game schedule, extended playoffs or somehow screwing rookie contracts even more than they do now.

1. Saying athletes in other sports make more money is fallacious reasoning. You can't compare a sport that has 162 games and 25 players on the roster (or the NBA) to a league in which there are 16 R.S. games and 53 guys on the roster.

2. The better players don't "screw over" anyone. They get EXACTLY what they're worth. Mid-tier guys don't get the big bucks because they're not good enough to earn them. And Tom Brady makes like 50 times more than some bubble guy on the roster because he's 50 times more valuable to the team. Actually, he's hundreds of times more valuable to the team, but the minimum wage in sports is essentially charity because you can't have a guy with that much money on the line making 75 grand; he needs to be more invested than that.

3. If a guy isn't in the league when his contract ran out, he wasn't good enough to cut it. Period. The NFL is a pure meritocracy. Nobody "deserves" anything from the league; they earn it with blood, sweat & pain. And they all essentially won the genetic lottery (some more so than others).

If the league wants to increase the minimum salary at the expense of the stars, they're free to do so. But the league doesn't give a f**k about how it's all dispersed; they just care about the total salary cap. So that issue would have to be an internal gripe. and I couldn't care less how it all shakes out.

That makes no sense either. I was drawing an analogy to your “Get over it. Life ain’t fair” comment. Which... again, has absolutely NOTHING to do with the video you posted.

You never said under par golfer. Get the fuck out of here. You should probably say you didn’t claim you were a Rhodes Scholar because that’s your biggest lie yet.
And then f I did find the post where you said you we’re an under par golfer you’d just say “haha I made you look for hours to find that”. You 1 million percent said you were an under par golfer.

Actually I called him out and he replied with some bizarre video that had nothing to do with what we were talking about.

Wrong. The video called you out and you got frazzled. Totally owned again.

You lied about TOY, you lied about college transfer credits and you’re lying now
