Clarence is clueless

I'd let him talk trade with other teams now, because we can't stop him from negotiating with them. You rescind the tag and you get nothing for him other than a comp pick (and there are rules to whether or not you get a comp pick). It's not happening.

Just put word out the two first round picks are completely negotiable.

I don't think it is a distraction. It's barely April. I think it's not an issue until we hit July. I didn't expect to hear anything for a couple of months. If something happens in the next month I'd call it early. Maybe if Clowney signs soon it will speed things up
I hope you're right.

the standard recovery time for this type of surgery is 3 or 4 months and it could take a month or 2 to get into playing shape after that. so yeah that could put his getting on the field as a full time player into October or November
Trade him.

I may have jumped the gun. Looks like he got more than his original asking price.

I saw the 5 years 100M and completely missed the word MORE.

From all appearances... he definitely did not get Mack or Donald money.

On to the next deal.
Devil will be in the details. Keys are how much guaranteed money and how much of the contract is tied to years 4 and 5. I'm guessing the 1st 3 years along with his signing bonus are guaranteed.

No chance without a set back. Now we'll see as he'll get the surgery right around April 15th I suspect

I heard next week.
Good. I feel very confident that if the surgery is next week that he will be on the field and starting week one and not out until November unless he has a set back or another issue. Heck, I think it's more likely he is healthy enough to play in week one of the preseason (even though he'll be held out for precautionary reasons) than he is out until November. I'm not the slightest bit concerned about him being ready for the season opener

I think I read 11.5M cap hit this year after the signing bonus. Now go sign Cooper and reduce the cap number more.

Dak would be my choice from there, but that's just me, could lock Elliott for another 3 years I suppose.
I'd make Jones prove last year wasn't a freak thing and still draft another corner before round 6
