Luke needs to let Lonzo play!!! He really needs to get his rotations right!!! I am happy with the win, but it should not have been by one point. Closing out quarters is a big issue for this team.

Did not expect a 1 point win last night but I'll take it.

Lakers should of won by 15 and that would be letting off the gas pedal near the end. After all the blown leads in the 4th you would figure this would be the game where they would put the most effort in the 4th. To me I'm starting to believe some of the players don't care about winning.

8 games in. By 20th game if things are like this still and say 9-11 or 10-10....I think they may make a deal involving a youngster or 2 to get a vet to help him....James is getting a little frustrated.

The next guy to go may very well be Luke. Brian Shaw is the likely replacement candidate. I wouldn't be surprised.

We go to Portland for another does of the TBs and then return the next day to Staples for Toronto. Could very well be a tough two-game stretch.

I would be very surprised.

Luke is a respected young coach and it's unlikely that they will get anyone better.

Luke also has Jeanie's support.

Lakers News: Jeanie Buss Champions Luke Walton As Part Of Long-Term Future

There is nothing that is happening with this team right now that wasn't expected.

It's a flawed roster that no one expects to contend and they are still getting used to each other and developing the young guys.

We are 8 games into the season and the team has been without Ingram for 4 of those games and without Rondo for 3.

For those who thing Luke is failing in the rotation department here is an article that provides a glimmer of hope.

LeBron James, Luke Walton and Lonzo Ball really like the new Lakers starting lineup

Hopefully, they'll stay with it for awhile as, with the exception of McGee, this will likely be the starting lineup (or close to it) next season.

Imo, the ideal thing would be for this group to start together for most of, if not all of, the remainder of the season and if Boogie looks good with the Warriors...make a serious run at him in FA.

Lebron has never had a top level big like Boogie. It would be really interesting to see what a starting lineup of Lebron, Boogie, Ingram, Lonzo and Kuz could do. McGee could even be re-signed as Boogie's backup if he continues to play well.

I agree with both posts TJF12. You can see the slivers of development in the team to the point of fluidity and less instability. People are getting to know one another's basketball movements and how can each to mesh to produce a powerhouse. I think much of what is being expressed about who goes and who stays and LeBron's potential frustrations are just mentations by pundits who have to produce articles that people want to read. Yada, yada, yada!!

Yeah, apparently there was a meeting with Magic and Luke and Magic was kind of on him about the slow start.

So folks are trying to make like it's some huge problem.

The team is off to 3-5 start. With some better play down the stretch...they could be 6-2 or even 8-0. But closing games late is arguably the most difficult thing to learn for young players. I'm sure that's frustrating. Especially for a guy like Magic who was always clutch in those situations.

The Lakers have also chosen not to lean entirely on Lebron late in games to try to see which of the young guys can/will step up.

I agree TJF12 especially on relying on the young guys down-the-stretch with a greater frequency. Luke has been doing this by yanking LeBron with 6-7 minutes remaining in the fourth and letting him sit and rest while forcing the issue. Sometimes it has worked and soemtimes it has failed miserably to wit, Luke calls a time-out and in comes LBJ.

McGee and Chandler is a nice 1-2 punch at C.
