Heat are currently 10th in pace of play through 6 games but Wiggy claims Whiteside is slowing them down lmfao
i just dont think Whtieside putting up stats actually translates to winning. Empty calories. Yesterday was arguably his best statistical game of the season and they lost to the Kings at home.

Heat might have the easiest opening schedule of anyone..

Magic, Wiz, Hornets, Knicks, Blazers, Kings, Hornets--- esp. with the dysfunction in Washington.

Sacramento's offensive approach was not exactly elaborate: Run, run, run and keep running.

Once the Kings got rolling, Miami had no answers.

Willie Cauley-Stein scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Buddy Hieldadded 23 points and the high-octane Kings put their youthful athleticism on full display in getting past the Heat 123-113 on Monday night -- putting up huge numbers even after sputtering through the first quarter.

WCS went for 26 and 13 against Whiteside- prob. cause whiteside is so slow.

Lance is Lance, oddness is expected. Are you saying you don't expect more from Butler?
I'm saying many guys in the NBA flop.

You can't just grade Lance on the curve because he's a clown.

Jimmy tried to pull a Jamal Crawford, James Harden.

Lance pulled a Embiid when he got Drummond tossed.

You can't condemn one act and not the other.

It's all distasteful.

I've been on the WCS hype train from the beginning. Ask @Mecca

Indeed you have.

Only thing weird to me is that he's not averaging more blocks. But he's a great perimeter defender for a big, because he moves so well, so maybe that draws him away from the paint a bit more.

But early in the season he's averaging 17.9 pts, 8.7 reb, 2.9 apg on 58.1% FG in just over 30 MPG. That's quite a leap in his 4th year. He's gotten better every year. I think he's going to be a good starting caliber center in the NBA for a while.

Whiteside can't win with you lol. He put up #'s and the Heat lose and it's a problem. He doesn't put up #'s and the Heat lose and it's still a problem.

The Heat are going to win games when he put up big #'s and lose games when he put up #'s as well. Real funny how you were nowhere to be found when he put up big #'s in wins last week vs NYK and Portland lol

Miami also had multiple injuries. The last 2 games is the healthiest they been. They were missing 4 or 5 guys in each of the first 4 games.

You may not think Sacramento's approach is elaborate but it gets the job done. They play at the 3rd highest pace and scored 120+ 3X in their first 7 games.

The question is whether he's going all out for a contract year or if this is the player he is becoming(maybe both?). I like that he's taking smarter shots with more inside the paint and less mid range jumpers. His passing for a center is pretty good too. He's been very inconsistent before this season even after Boogie left and he got more PT. I said last night I want this to be the real WCS so he can be in the big man rotation going forward with Bagley and Giles but I'm not 100% sold yet.

The Kings are using their youth to run track meets and it makes it tough for some teams to keep up. They give up a lot of points but that's to be expected when you play so fast. It's exciting basketball especially when they're winning.

Yep for sure. Somehow according to Wiggy who didn't watch a second of game action, said this was all on Whiteside lol. Freaking clown

I hope Fox is okay, strained his back at the end of the game last night. As much as I want him to play and the record to stay above .500, it's more important he sits out tonight and doesn't make the injury worse. Yogi and Mason can push the pace and give them a chance to win.

Whiteside was a big reason for the Heat starting the game well, he had double digit rebounds in 1 quarter. It didn't last but it's not all on one player.

He wouldn't know that though. This is how Wiggy operates.

Look at Whiteside #'s after every Heat win. If he had big #'s in a Heat win then he remains quiet. The moment Hassan has a good night in a Heat L, he goes back to the same BS how it is impossible for the Heat to win when Hassan put up big #'s lol.

I guess 16 rebounds and 6 blocks is not big #'s and same goes for 22,14, and 3 lol

That's how Wiggy is, he clearly doesn't like Whiteside for one reason or another. No big game is gonna change that.

Considering he's improved every year in the league, I would probably give him the benefit of the doubt. I think the team's running style also perfectly fits his game too, which I think coincidentally is helping his numbers. Last year he averaged a solid 12.8 and 7.0 a game in 28 minutes. So I think he's on the upswing.

@Mecca

True story for real for real. McCaw has become almost obsolete now to the Warriors. McKinney is killing it in his role. He's on a 2-way contract right now, but I would think if he keeps this up, he'll be on a 2 year deal in no time. His defense is not bad, but more importantly he's not such a huge liability on offense. He's shooting the ball with confidence and playing with great energy. He had 19 pts and 10 rebounds last night in 27 minutes.

To Pat McCaw:

It's not unusual for someone to finally put it all together in year 4, better than never putting it together like other recent Kings picks. If he can keep up rebounding at a good rate, play solid defense, and make smart plays I'll be happy. The scoring might go down once Bagley really gets it going and Bogi returns.
