I'm just entertained by Wiggy's thoughts on when the Heat continue to clog up their payroll with average/mediocre talent, that's all.

They can't sign anyone in the open market anyway, so therefore it makes perfect sense to continue to clog it up.

bow down to wiggy

When's the last time Indiana signed a marquee free agent again?

Still got wiggy dick in your mouth i see?

It doesnt change anything. Heat were never going to compete for a title this season or next season so your point is irrelevant as always. Just about all of these contracts are gone in 2 years

Good lord. These are a crime against humanity. Burn them with fire and seal the ashes in a vault buried 100 feet in the ground.

this article cracks me up:

After a predraft workout with the Miami Heat, in which Whiteside got so exhausted that he just sat in the middle of the floor and refused to continue conditioning drills led by Keith Askins, the Sacramento Kings selected him 33rd overall in the 2011 NBA draft. Almost immediately, the team sent him to the D-League to play for the Reno Bighorns, coached by Eric Musselman, the former Kings head coach.

“At that time, nobody wanted to be in the D-League,” says Musselman. “Everybody wants to be in the NBA. There are guys that would be in the D-League and not want to be there but were extremely motivated to get out. They came with a purpose, a mission. Stayed before practice, after practice. Jeremy Lin was constantly asking, ‘How do I get better? How do I play pick-and-roll? Will you watch film with me?’

“And then you have Hassan. He was just kind of there.”

As time passed in Reno, Whiteside’s attitude soured. The Kings front office grew concerned, worrying that Whiteside’s “just kind of there” posture might start to rub off negatively on GMs and scouts, who would come to see the team at a D-League Showcase. So, then-GM Geoff Petrie yanked Whiteside back to Sacramento.

for Dwyane Wade, it was Whiteside’s third altercation in less than a year that put him over the edge. It was a live, nationally broadcasted game in February 2016, when Whiteside elbowed Boban Marjanovic’s chin. Whiteside received a one-game suspension for the hit. The Heat immediately sent him home. In the locker room, Wade didn’t hold back.

Whiteside caved and wore the brace, but he wasn’t himself—on or off the court. He routinely complained about playing time and touches last season. Whiteside grew distant from the team as the season pressed on. He stewed around the locker room and eventually implied that he wanted to be traded after sitting the fourth quarter and overtime against the Brooklyn Nets in March (“It’s bullshit. It’s really bullshit, man. There’s a lot of teams that could use a center,” he told reporters after the game).

After the profanity-laced rant that included a pseudo-trade demand, the team fined him for conduct detrimental to the team

After the season, former NBA coach Byron Scott, who played nine seasons for Pat Riley, delivered a message to Whiteside on ESPN’s The Jump: “You’ve got to grow up, man. You’re in the NBA. To me, that stands for No Boys Allowed. So, grow up and be a man

Fans and NBA insiders questioned if the money had gotten to him. One high-ranking executive, from a team who had interest in signing Whiteside in 2016 free agency but has since put that desire firmly on ice, put it this way: “We questioned how money would change him. That question was answered.”

No comment on why you chose to pick and choose what fit just your narrative vs the entire supposed story?

Healthy Whiteside has been more than fine for a long time now.

Welp, the Lakers beat the Warriors for the 2nd straight time and just to increase the level of difficulty, they did it without Lebron, Ingram, Rondo, KCP and Hart.

They should just cancel the season and give the Lakers the Larry O'Brien.

@WiggyRuss ought to have a field day with this one...
3 years 39 million? lol

in a cap environment where Lou Williams is getting 8 a year and Julius Randle got what? 9 a year?

THIS IS DEFINITELY a contract based on projection rather than what he has done since Winslow has been mostly a disapointment and has shown himself to be injury prone.

Its also another admission by the Heat that they have basically no hope of clearing cap space any time soon to sign a major free agent.

Their cap situation just keeps getting worse and worse. Riley is totally asleep at the wheel at this point.

Next year they have no hope of creating cap room unless they get rid of a bunch of bad deals.

the FOLLOWING offseason they now have 16M of James Johnson that he IS NOT DECLINING unless he is insane, 12M of KO which he MAY decline or may not- id PROBABLY say no, but thats debatable....Winslow for 13, Waiters for 13, Richardson at 11 and Bam at his slot of 5 but that will likely go up unless they let him play out his RFA year at the tender amount.

So- Riley had NO CAP SPACE and NO DRAFT PICKS this offseason

Next offseason he has no cap space

the following year he already has 69M committed- for the 2020-2021---- if you switch Richardson for Butler that number goes up to about 95M- once again leaving them with basically no cap room

why in the sam hell they signed James Johnson and Waiters to those contracts is beyond me--- and now Winslow will be making 13M for the 3 years FOLLOWING this year- if he continues to be an injury prone disapointment their cap situation is just horrendous. MAybe the worst in the league

There is a TEAM option for year 3.

Unless Winslow outperforms his contract in the first 2 years, no way in hell will Miami pickup that team option in year 3.

Also calling a player injury prone because he had one major injury in his career is just dumb.

Winslow missed 18 out of 183 games in year 1 and 3 of his career.

He isn't injury prone. He had 1 major injury that required season ending surgery.

If James Harden tears his ACL tomorrow, does that all of sudden make him injury prone?

Nice speculation.
Even if it was 100% correct, they’re still better than your Cavs.

Might as well go all the way and just go with this....

Did anyone see the story about Mike Muscala's Dad?

Is this what all the SportsHoopla is about?

Because, I haven't seen anyone report what he allegedly posted.

What he said was stupid.

But, if this is all.....:noidea:

Needless to say, they are no longer in the Butler chase.

Lmfao @ egomaniacal African American mental illness.

Like we have the monopoly on that shit....lol

i told you i would bet Ingram does not get to 18 ppg. If you want to make a bet on that because DJ wouldnt I would be happy to

LOL.

When you first started posting this after LeBron signed, the number was 16. Then, when you tried to bet me, you upped it to 17. Now 18?

Is that an admission that you are wrong on Ingram after watching him crush preseason?
