To be honest CDC wasn’t the only reason we lost . That being said honest evaluation from the ABC crowd. Were few and far between .during the KC era If KC was the starting qb Monday night I bet the house we would talk about how KC couldn’t win on Monday night and chokes on big games .

CDC was sold to me by the same crowd as the guy who wins and would fix this . He failed in his first test . Doesn’t mean he won’t but the first test he failed .

Now search engine my posts immediately prior to the season opening . I believe you will find that I stated the defense would have to carry us because the offense would struggle early . So far. CDC has little rapport with dox or even Harris ( his int showed this )

Our defense for the most part of the season did a good job but Monday the simply didn’t

Now my question is where are the deans and mitz’s now when the loss is upon us ? Want to take any bets they will show up when we win Sunday ? Maybe they are “ lurking “ but for all the talking points they rambled through i would expect them to have some sort of reply . At least coach Sty and country take the fire , fire I will have to take when CDC succeeds and will do so willingly .

I got caught passing misinformation not long ago and I had to eat it . I took that fire and I can take more . It ashame that cant be said of the others who fell on their CDC swords

Probably the worst performance since the Eagles/Vick Monday night massacre. Two weeks to prepare and Gruden still couldn't get these guys emotionally ready. Some of that is on the players as well.

I don't think there is a team in the league that would have been favored last night. It wasn't that they lost, it was how they lost. This team is so used to losing, that they can't even handle a little bit of success. It goes to their head evertime.

You can't give Brees extra possessions. Didn't see the punter at all last night, but the Skins did stop them twice early. Nicholson being a tough guy, and Norman tackling the receiver at the line of scrimmage. It was all down hill from there.

Concerns
Smith played his worst game of the year. He missed open receivers (Davis, Richardson, Thompson in the flat) had happy feet in the pocket and was just bad. On the game day broadcast Cooley pointed out numerous occasions where Smith missed wide open guys that he didn't even see.

The offensive line got bullied all night and gave Alex no time.

Reed was a non factor

The refs were really bad in the 1st quarter. RK got held, Payne got held on the play they flagged Dunbar on. No excuse though.

Secondary was brutal all the way around. Norman should be embarrassed.

Jay Gruden....its year five and he still can't string together solid consecutive good efforts from his team.

The Good

Richardson can catch. He's not a 1, but he can play.

Payne was sold

I loved how Allen was genuinely pissed last night. Not the fake tough guy, "we didn't practice hard bit" that DJ likes to pull after every loss. Genuinely heated.

Doctson.....you gotta want to be out there. AP with a separated shoulder, hyperextended knee, Williams coming off of surgery and Mo makes a play as expected. Want to see more Mo Harris.

All in all the Skins need to throw this game in the trash can, focus on the Panthers and realize they have 12 weeks and not let this game define their season. Giants beat Philly, Jaguars beat the Boys and a win over the Panthers and we are two up in the loss column on everyone.

This is the very first time I have started to really question if Jay is the right guy. I'm gonna keep a close eye on Vikings and former Eagles right hand man John Defilippo from here on out. Snyder should too.
Well, we could certainly use a qualified DC in Washington. My goodness...

Exactly. Defense was AWFUL. but that doesn't change the fact that smith was hot shit too.
Cannot put this on one guy. The WHOLE team was shit. Squarely on Gruden. I have seen enough in 5 years. He is not the leader needed here in DC. Someone mentioned the Vikes DC but also keep an eye on Shaw.

Let Wade out of the building with his son on staff. Basically the Rams coaching staff could have been ours. Gruden will never sign off on a DC that he feels threatened by.

Really like Shaw but this guy is beginning to catch more and more of my attention although IMO I believe that he needs more time where he is. If we can get either of them to leave their schools we may have something. @Sportster 72 is gonna love this!

I don’t think anybody is putting the entire game on AS. We are simply saying AS played like hot shit. The rest of the team could have been fantastic though, and if AS plays that poorly, we still lose.

Don’t know what McPhee was thinking here, but that was horrible. I was screaming “get on the ball” when it happened. I assume he was trying to scoop and score:noidea:

Franklin has done a good job but not as a field coach. He is a GREAT recruiter. His game coaching is below average. That is fine if you are surrounded by very strong coordinators and a good GM. I would look at Shaw first. I don't think it matters, the owner and FO suck and even if they replace BA you still have the head of the snake.

TEAM LOSS PERIOD!

It was a team loss but Smith sucked. Don't know if you live in the area but he is getting killed in the media and elsewhere.

Like dad, shark, gk and a few others I wanted Cousin's to stay. I was afraid in 2015. I understand and agree that many here and elsewhere were not fair or understanding of Cousin's talent.

dad has a strong point, as does Sty that we gave up too much for an okay QB. What I don't understand is why do you pay $74 million for Smith but refuse to make a realistic offer to Cousin's. Why not try to get McCarron, Keenum or something that would have cost you significantly less. Unless Smith improves a lot then I think there are going to be a lot of people reminding what we could have or should have had.
