I don't know. I'd still draw the line before Rivers. Right now I think he is at 'Chargers should retire his jersey' and not 'NFL should put him in HOF'

Rivers is in year 2 or 3 of a second stint of a team that could compete for a title. I think without a MVP like performance this season and/or a deep playoff run then he shouldn't even be in consideration.

It's never made sense to me that we devalue QB numbers now because " it's a pass first league and the rules are set up to help the offense " but we dont do the same with receivers or TEs.

If a guy who will be in the Top 10 of nearly every passing category possible by the time hes eligible isn't a Hall of Famer then just get rid of the Hall

for me personally i do not think he 'should' be but i think he 'will' be because it's easy for QB's with big numbers to get in ....

I think that if you can be ranked in the top 3 at your position for several years, that should be the biggest requirement. Then factor in other things like post season, intangibles and other stuff.
I don't think I ever considered Rivers in the top 5 QB's any year he has played.

People always use that term " hall of fame level" but what does that mean? Theres a boatload of people in the Hall with shitty numbers ( comparitively) to guys recently . Most of us never saw any of those guys play so it's tough to comment on them . I feel like it's a catch all term to use when you want an excuse to say no to a guy. speaking of Rivers and his 8 kids, i didn't know this but i heard an interview someone had with Ryan Fitzpatrick and he and his wife have their 7 kid on the way so he's catching up with Rivers

Itll be interesting . Rivers is really a poor man's Matt Ryan. Ryan will likely finish ahead of him in most every stat and Ryan has been in a SB and won at least 1 MVP yet there are lots of people here who dont think hes a HOFer either. I can honestly see it both ways but numbers have to count for something even if you think they're "easier" to get now
