1:21 p.m. ET: The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to trade center Omer Asik, guards Tony Allen and Jameer Nelson and a protected 2018 first-round pick to the Chicago Bulls for forward Nikola Mirotic, a second-round pick and the rights to trade second-round picks in the 2021 draft, league sources tell ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The Bulls are expected to waive Allen and Nelson, the sources said. New Orleans agreed to guarantee Mirotic's $12.5 million option in the 2018-19 season, clinching the deal.

Allen would be available for the Thunder.

Sure.

But he didn't ever say that and Cleveland was coming off a championship.
Exactly. Which leads us back to my original point - he had the opportunity if he wanted it. So why do some now think he wants to play with LBJ? He has said he wants to win and he's done that with GS & has the best chance of continuing to win with GS.

It's almost disappointing the Cavs haven't made a play for Nerlens Noel yet. He's cheap. He plays defense. What are they waiting for. Get to it.

If you're in the Finals, you're a real contender. Doesn't matter who the favorite is. And I'm pretty sure 99.9% of teams would consider a success if they built a roster capable of getting there. Your standards are far too high

Most years, yes.

Some years, no.

There is a difference between having a puncher's chance and no chance. For example, the Nets had no chance against the Lakers.

And I am not saying getting to the Finals and losing is an unsuccessful season. I am not one of those fools. Some on here might say that, at least as it relates to LeBron.

What I am saying is that being a contender means you have an actual chance to win the championship. Not just get there.

That all said, I doubt this Pistons core will be good enough to get there unless they somehow get much better guard/wing play. Maxing out on Blake will make it difficult for them to get there.

Got to think the Thunder are the front runners to sign Tony Allen.
