Mitch is a project right now. Nothing to praise or hate at this point. Really praising our gm this early. He had a brutal draft in his first yr, solid one last yr, and this yr is too early to tell.

Meh.

Kevin White certainly hasn't lived up to the bill, but Goldman and Amos seem to be legit starters, and Grasu has played alright when healthy...Langford had some success too.

Only one pick is not on the team currently, and that was their last one (6th) in the draft, so I wouldn't say brutal.

I have liked Pace's drafting.

I am fully convinced pace is the real deal. If the bears front office is wise enough to keep him around for 3-4 more drafts, this team will be running the NFC North.

Eh we'll see. If Trubisky becomes real deal, maybe. Not going win many games with 5 first downs and 0 offensive TDS

There are no need for facts or reality here. We need to stroke the Bear's draft picks as the next hall of fame class...

As a 2nd over all pick in 1998, Ryan Leaf was also 2-1 in his first three starts. Once again, I am in no way implying Trubisky will fall on his face. I am merely saying it's way to early to say anything one way or another.

And I'm not saying Bears fans shouldn't be optimistic. But I think it's a bit too soon to start a thread calling out people that criticized the draft.

Simple rule with making him a "franchise" QB. Watch the Browns and do the opposite.
Geez they benched Kizer again!

Dumb.

The Bears have arguably the worst WR corps. in football right now.

Trubisky will be fine. He is a very accurate QB that is also a great athlete. You should worry about your own team.

This. Trubisky is a rising star. At worst, he's Matt Stafford 2.0. At best, he's a top-5 guy in the league next year.

Trubisky wasn't drafted by a team ready to win right away. He's also pretty raw & going through growing pains, but he'll be a force by 2018 & 2019.

Everyone laughs because it's the bears, but once Trubisky actually gets some WRs, he's going to be a very good qb. I don't think the question with him is if he will be good or not. The question is how good. Will he be a Kirk cousins/Matt Stanford/Andy Dalton type middle of the road good QB, or will he be one of the best. When I see this kid play I see his passing being right on the mark. He's as accurate as they come. He has made some very impressive throws. He's been elusive. He hasn't made mistakes. I've seen a few scenarios that other rookie QBs would throw picks and he just checks down and if nothing else throws it away. He uses his running ability intelligently to make plays longer and only on occasion to pick up a first. I am judging his rookie year along that with hat of wentz. Wentz is going to be a very good QB. His rookie year was nothing special. He didn't turn the ball over much. Played within his knowledge of the offense. Now he's starting to excel. This one next year, if the bears can get a quality WR and a little bit of oline help, Trubisky will begin to excel.

I can see why the bears are excited about their rookie QB.
before he started the bears had no chance at winning. After he started they have atleast been in the games. So if his not making as many mistakes allows the defense to keep them in the game. I can completely see why they are excited of their Rookie QB so far.

Just wait, man. This kid is going to be good when he gets going.

Trubisky had a better game than Rodgers yesterday.

Trubisky looks like he's worth the trade up to be sure.
Shaheen hasn't done much, but he is a TE and TE is hard to adapt. I think he will be solid next year.
Eddie Jackson - Huge day today. Started the year as starting FS and has looked very solid next to Amos. He looked like a big part of this defense if he can stay healthy.
Cohen - a legit weapon that has been a big part of the running offense. Looks a lot like Darren spriles.

Other than the trade, each of thise picks were bashed and everyone was giving the bears shitty grades for the draft. Without really looking at other teams drafts, I think I would put my money on that being a top 5 haul from this draft so far. If Shaheen pans out and Trubisky continues a logical growth for his skill set, watch out. This could be the draft that makes the bears a perennial contender and everyone has been wrong about it.
he threw 7 passes. am i missing something?
