Thing is, as of right now, was it worth it to give up what the Bears gave up to get him? Or are there other QBs available that could complete 4 of 7 passes for 107 yards with no TDs?

I get it. You like is upside. Great. He hasn't looked bad, and maybe he will develop into something elite, but, in my opinion, it's way too early to start calling out people who criticized the pick, because they still gave up a lot more than just one pick to get him.

Meh. The trade value actually favored the Bears as point-values per pick. They gave up two 4ths and a 3rd to get the guy they wanted. Big deal. They could very well recoup those picks with a couple of moves, and how many 4th rders turn out to be more valuable than a franchise QB?

The alleged plan was to redshirt him, but Glennon sucked so many dicks, they had no choice. Their WR group was average af BEFORE losing their No. 1 and No. 2. It is very much below average now.

I'll take wins over stats at this point. Yes, the offense needs to do more, particularly thru the air, but let's not pretend he hasn't made a few big plays. The bomb to Cohen today was a back-breaker, and the 3rd and 11 to win it last week was pretty big.

I think the kid is doing exactly what they ant him to do, and as that's been stated already....just don't be the reason they lose. I think he's fared admirably considering what's around him at receiver.

I might be wrong, but don't most franchise QBs make the players around them look better?

I believe the thread is about the ENTIRE draft, not just that trade.
Right, they got a good back and safety...using the limited amount of info available...then everything else is yet to be seen...

Bitter Packers fan, still wallowing in broken collarbones.
Not bitter at all...just loving how defensive the Bear's fans on here are

Cool, so the thread has some merit, considering the discrepancy between the pundits hammering the fuck out of them after the draft, and what said draft picks are actually producing.

Cool.

Well, when you twist the meaning of the thread to suit your biased opinion....someone needs to call your dumb ass out.

Mitch is a project right now. Nothing to praise or hate at this point. Really praising our gm this early. He had a brutal draft in his first yr, solid one last yr, and this yr is too early to tell.
