Who Do You Think Broncos Will Select as Head Coach?

I don’t know if he will get the job but Jonathan Gannon was very impressive with his interviews, including the Broncos. Per Ben Albright he comes from a scouting back ground much like Paton. Ben has also said several times he believes Gannon will be a better head coach the coordinator.

We will see soon who the new head coach is but it might be a 3 horse race with Quinn, Hackett, and Gannon.

He could be the first HC hired, and the Texans is a very likely spot. Not knowing a lot about Paton’s preference for HC. My gut is Quinn or Gannon.

I like Hackett, but the rumored staff is uninspiring to say the least. Sounds like you can go look at the staffs he was on in Jacksonville and Buffalo to get an idea.

LOL- Was just going to post the same thing.

The only time I have seen this happen is something similar in indoor football. A player was cut by a coach. Player became owner of a team and hired the coach. I give the player respect. I don't think 99% of humans would do that.

It didn't sound like they traveled for the interviews. They must have been attended virtually. I don't think it is a suprise though as George said he would consult with them, and it would be harder for them to have an opinion if they were not part of the interview process. Right???

Elway and Ellis are both on their way out so if their choice is not selected, there is really no ramifications.

One thing about Paton, is he likes to get as much data as possible to make his decissions. I view this as he has 2 more data points. Maybe I am being optimistic.

Per Albright Paton does have some calls setup
for today, with Gannon being 1 of them. Houston might name Gannon their HC sooner then later.

This is tough decision, make the right decision and the Broncos will be setup to return their winning ways of the past, make the wrong decision and the franchise will be set back another 3-5 years.

Based on what Albright is reporting, he believes the announcement will occur on Tuesday, maybe Monday. If there are a second round of interviews it may push the timeline unlit the end of the week.
