Hmmm... Has neuheisel ever built a program? Either way, they could do worse, and probably better.

Why surely you remember the powerhouse that WAS the UCLA Bruins of the late 2000's, yes??

No worse than the powerhouse they have become.

Seriously though, those were some interesting comments he made there. Wonder if he's looking to get back into coaching in general, or if he just likes the thought of getting old with a low pressure coaching gig in Corvallis.

They should definitely give him some consideration. They might be looking to clean house after all the weirdness though.

I kinda like the guy, he brings excitement to the team. I have never thought Neuheisle was that great of a coach.

They've looked like a different team since he took over, for sure.

Neuheisel isn't a great coach, but he's not a bad coach either. Don't know about being a good option for Oregon State. Maybe he's older and wiser and could be. :noidea:

I thought he really found his true calling with the media stuff. Before he moved on to bigger and better things, he made the Pac 12 network actually worth watching for more than the couple times/year they aired your team's games.

That settles it then.

Willy tags to Florida and ricky sweater vest to eugene. Leave the guy who's leading the beavs now in for next year.

Neuheisel is a fucking terrible coach.
Saying he's mediocre would be overstating it.
He always had his best years with somebody else's talent.

Terrible at Colorado, Washington, UCLA.

He can take that guitar and stick it up his ass.

I would laugh my ass off if Taggart jumps ship on them. But I can't see this happening for multiple reasons.
Mainly, his buyout would be insane as he's only half a season into the job and that was 16 million total.
His name is being thrown out there, but he's easily anywhere from 5-10 in the rankings of who they really want.
It would also trigger a massive exodus out of that recruit class that Phil bought for them and a bunch of them are from tSEC country. Money has exchanged hands and a lot of promises for future compensation were negotiated. There would be a lot of fallout from all that as well. Phil's ego wouldn't accept this. He didn't spend all those hundreds of millions at Nike U. to have it be a jumping point program for coaches.

It would be a real hot mess. :pop2:
