OMG, you aren't really this dense, are you?

--->Starting in 1906, and all the way through to 1964,<--- the Gophers never once even played 10 games. How were they supposed to win 10 games if they didn't even play 10 games?

Could you be any more of a friggin moron?

1931 Gophers went 7-3, that's 10 game genius

1942 & '44 went 5-4, had they had a better record they would have played a tenth game

1960 & '61 went 8-2, again 10 games

1963 & '64- played 9 games, had they won the conference they would have played ten

It's funny you don't even know the history of your own team. Damn are you a really stupid homer.

I missed basically ONE in 6 decades? The season BEFORE Bierman showed up, so yeah, not exactly a season anyone gives a sh1t about. That proves what? My point is still totally valid and you were shown to be a moron with no point, just a broken brain.

1960 & '61 went 8-2, again 10 games

I beat you to those awhile back, post #87? Got so excited to punk me you didn't read forward first, eh? lol Typical of a loser like you.

Had Yale never lost a game, they'd have won every Natl Title ever. Funny how shoulda woulda couldas work. Hey, Wamu, if ifs ands and buts were candy and nuts, everyday could be Christmas. Btw, what's OSU's excuse, for not winning Conf Titles every single year?

It's funny you don't even know the history of your own team. Damn are you a really stupid homer.

I know plenty. You were the one who started this with a ridiculous retarded uneducated moronic meaningless point that only weak minded losers try to make.

They played bowl games during WW2? Interesting, I have been far more interested in how UMn was THE #1 contributor to the Allies winning WW2. And as far as football goes, the US Govt stripped UMn of it's legendary Coach, most of it's top players, and didn't just take them away from Minnesota, they assigned them to places where they ended up playing AGAINST US. Our own coach broke his own winning streak, coaching the Iowa Seahawks to a #2 poll ranking. One of Michigan's top players, made All-American there, was a former Gopher who would have played for the Gophers had it not been for WW2. He was just one of many former Gophers who got yanked out of the UMn program and placed with our conference opponents or on military teams that we had to play.

Seems you are the dumb homer not knowing how bringing up years such as 1942 and 1944 was basically serving me up a slow pitch softball pitch right over the middel of the plate, lol.

I dare say, not one single team in the country lost more, football wise, than UMn, because of WW2. A sacrifice I am proud my state was able to make. Nice of you to appreciate that sacrifice you loser.

Hmm, who is going to finish higher and at least has a chance at winning their conference, the Ducks or Minnesota who is about to lose their coach.
Since you wrote that, the Ducks have gone 3-3, Mn has gone 6-0.

Minnesota EOS 2021 ranked 17th in Massey's Ratings, 22nd in Sagarin's Ratings and 27th in ESPN's FPI Ratings.
Oregon finished 2021 ranked 27th in Massey's Ratings, 26th in Sagarin's Ratings and 30th in ESPN's FPI Ratings.

Oregon got outscored in the first 4 of those last 6 games 201 to 90. All 6 games 235 to 201.

Minnesota has outscored it's last 6 opponents 225-50.

As for coaches, seems you had the wrong school pegged for not being able to keep their coach, lol.

How do you feel being WRONG about everything? I mean I'm STILL laughing about the UConn bs.

Not sure if you are unaware of this, but the 2022 season started several weeks ago

Are you trying to reply to a different topic because you didn’t make one coherent comment back to what I said.

What part didn't I respond to?

I showed how UMn finished higher, and how they still have their coach, while you said they'd lose their coach.

But you are the moron who didn't even know Minnesota had a football team and who thinks UConn fb is more prestigious than Minnesota football, lol.

Is it too early to post here?

Wow, WSU sucks. How do you blow that kind of a lead in such a short time?
Still waiting on you to state a single fact that UConn hasn’t been relevant that Minnesota is recent memory. As well as I’m not sure why you are replying to an Oregon thread as if I never once said Oregon is going to win the title this year or that we were going to beat them.

Apparently, these kids saw him go to Miami and form a superteam, so now they want to.

He's forgetting some things though...

Before Lebron went to Miami...

The Celtics and Lakers had superteams in the 50's, 60's and part of the 70's.

The Lakers, Celtics and Sixers had them in the 80's.

In the 90's, the Rockets had Hakeem, Sir Charles and Pippen (although they were past their prime).

In the early '00s, the Lakers added Gary Payton and Karl Malone to Shaq and Kobe.

Not necessarily a superteam, but the Lakers added Pau Gasol and Ron Artest to Kobe.

The Celtics had Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.

Dammit man how many time I gotta tell ya stop making sense!?

Everything you mentioned is spot-on. But the LeBron haters don't wanna hear any of it.

You have to be mentally retarded.

Minnesota has won more games in 2019, 2021 & 2022(24) than UConn has won since the start of 2013's cfb season(22).

UMn 2016 - 9-4 - finished #34 in the AP poll.
UMn 2019 - 11-2 - finished #10 in the AP poll.
UMn 2021 - 9-4 - finished #28 in the AP poll.
UMn 2022 - 4-0 - is ranked #21 in the AP poll.

compared to

UConn 2018 - 1-11.
UConn 2019 - 2-10.
UConn 2020 - DNP.
UConn 2021 - 1-11
UConn 2022 - 1-4.

UMn since 2016
5-0 in bowl games.

UConn since 2016
hasn't played in a single bowl 2016-2022.

Since Jerry Kill took over at Minnesota in 2011, UMn's won 72 games while UConn has only won 31.

More games cool. Still waiting on an answer of who has been more relevant. My parents weren’t alive when someone mentioned Minnesota and a potential national championship. I haven’t been alive since someone even mentioned Minnesota as a Big 10 championship contender. As I said, Coach is the closest Minnesota has been as a relevant football program since post Civil Rights.

Minnesota has been FAR MORE relevant than UConn. Moron.
