Andrew Nelson, an unrated offensive tackle from Hershey, PA commited to PSU. He was offered Saturday during a visit, and accepted yesterday. He is the eighth commit of the class.

Hello, Mr. Fonze. The unrated status is just for now, I'm sure. When Cothran committed, he was unrated, and now one of the services has bumped him up to 3-star. Nelson had offers from Maryland, Missouri, Northwestern, and (of course) Pitt. I like the way he jumped on the offer. He wants to be a NL, and that counts for a lot, in my book. I also would like to see us sign a big class, as it goes towards building depth. Not every recruit is going to be >= 3* in that case.

Yeah, the staff has been pretty selective about their offers so far. Hopefully they are a far cry in that department from the last staff's yearly "camp offer" meltdown.

Hopefully this gets David Williams attention. It seems like PSU has been in front for him for a while, but you can only wait so long before offering other RBs. Unclear whether PSU would take both Clement and Williams.

Also, the epic saga of Alex Anzalone continues - he does have PSU as one of his finalists.
