Uriah Lemay is pretty wide open but going to stay in the south (UNC, USCe, UGA, Clemson)

Jonathan Allen is going SEC, Stanford and PSU has a shot.

Rochell is all SEC

Kiser is probably going to end up at Maryland

Newby is wide open

Anthony Averett (NJ) has committed to Alabama, and comes off the board. SEC is becoming a real competitor for talent in NJ.

The epic 30-University battle for the services of LB Alex Anzalone, of Wyomissing, PA, rages on. Last week he went on a west coast run where he seemed to favor Stanford over USC and UCLA. Of course, Lane Kiffin is always looking for a new route to victory:

His trip to USC is the one I find most interesting. Lane Kiffin not only wants Alex Anzalone to be a Trojan, he wants it to happen SOON.

Kiffin has asked Alex, a high school junior, to graduate early and enroll at USC this summer.

Anzalone visited PSU this weekend, and all sources I've read indicated he enjoyed the visit. It is unclear whether he will attend the Blue-White game next week, and may attend Ohio St's instead. We'll see.

Word is that during a visit, O'Brien offered Nadir Barnwell, 4-star CB from Piscataway, NJ.

Nice article on O'Brien, talks about the web's influence and recruiting.

"It is one of the biggest adjustments I've had to make here, the volume of the internet," O'Brien said. "There have to be four or five websites that cover Penn State football. That can be good.

"There are a lot of positive things about that. But we can't judge any recruit by what's written on the internet. It's what our brain tells us. Whether it has five stars, four stars, one star, eight stars or 20 stars, I can care less.

Andrew Nelson, an unrated offensive tackle from Hershey, PA commited to PSU. He was offered Saturday during a visit, and accepted yesterday. He is the eighth commit of the class.

Shane Jones, LB from Cincinnati, accepted an offer from Mich. St. yesterday and comes off the board.
