Mahomes had one of the most impressive postseasons I have witnessed, to comeback from double digits in all three postseason games to win and win it all, and against the number one defense, sure Richard Sherman is a fraud but still. He definitely is on the right track not just HOF but as far as GOAT argument if he puts up 7 more seasons like this.

Not yet. Let's wait until year 5 and give another look.
No doubt the guy is something special and if he keeps it up he will be in.

Andy Reid sure is one now

Yep, people can stop hating on him now. Guy won a ton of games in this league with average QB's.

Once he got a good one, he got his ring

maybe i'm not understanding what you are saying but there have been a TON of players that have won league MVP and also a SB in their career.

Wow. Clearly didn't do some minimal proofreading of my post. I meant to say win an MVP, and a Super Bowl and make the Hall of Fame.

Also, I was referring only to QBs and obviously didn't include QBs that haven't qualified for the Hall yet. I did miss Joe Theismann.

And apparently Larry Brown is the only non-QB to do it. Well Mark Moseley did it as well but that was a ridiculous season.

Ok, so the crteria is

Win a SB at some point
Win league MVP at some point
And hall of fame?

A few that come to mind immediately are Walter Payton, Joe Montana, and Marcus Allen and I think there a few more

Now HOFers get credit for INTs LMAO

So he gets credit for bad decision. This from the same tool that wanted to exclude time from the SB game to allow Mahomes a sure lock for MVP.

Dope status: Confirmed.

You guys are selfish and ballhogs, I can see where OP is coming from. Sharing is caring they say

Nobody fumbles better than Wentz. Haters gonna hate, though.

Well way more than that. But I was saing

Win SB
Win MVP
NOT get into the Hall.

I have the list at 3.

Theismann is probably the closest possible worst case scenario. He was an almost surefire Hall lock until Taylor ended his career.

The part of knowyourenemy's comment that you highlighted. Talk about a good laugh. I have never heard of an active QB getting credit for taking risks & being a gunslinger. The last QB I can think of that's called a gunslinger was Favre. And he threw alotta int's. But he was exciting to watch.

Yes, it’s ridiculous to even suggest, isn’t it?

I think it’s:

QB
MVP season
Super Bowl win
Not in the HOF

Mahomes has all the makings of a shoo-in HOFer. All he needs is a bunch of seasons behind him. Don't have a flat number as to how many that should be, but he'll have to put in the time and the rest will take care of itself.

Is Wentz really a gunslinger though? You really can't call him a gunslinger since he only has 35 int's in 56 games played. And hasn't thrown double digit picks since his rookie year. A true gunslinger would have a lot more int's.

Wentz should never be brought up in a Hall of Fame thread

Winston 30 int this season alone. Weird part of this year was there there were only 4 Qb's that throw for 30 or more tds Jackson,
Wilson, Prescott and Jameis

Good point. I may need to knock him down a peg.
