He is not a HOF player yet. But he will be so long as injury doesn't end his career early.

good call. Yeah. and hes in the hall of fame. and kurt had 3 straight years like that. Then 5 consecutive nothing years. Then a few decent years at the end

And went to 3 SB's. From stocking shelves to HOF, best story

Auto lock. He's done some pretty amazing things early in his career (in part from one of the best offensive coaches in NFL history) and should continue. That said, if Terrell 'ACL' Davis can get in the HOF, anyone is game.

Mahomes will get in, even if his career ended today. He can also check the 'diversity box' which as a QB will get him a 43.2% boost in approval ratings.

Disclaimer: Guys, I don't think that way.. it's just how lame and gay (yep I said it) our PC culture and the NPL (National Politics League) is.
Agreed. And btw, Davis should never have even sniffed the HOF

Good argument. However much like Terrell Davis, not a HOF'er
I totally agree never thought Warner or Davis as a HOF’ers but have a feeling this will be a norm going forward with more players quitting younger.

You are likely right. Players going 12-15 years, let alone with one team are going to be a thing of the past

ummm….not at the moment

If he plays at the same level or higher (if that's possible) for the next 5-7yrs smashing records, than yes he would be first ballot.

If Patrick Mahomes retired tomorrow, do you think he should be inducted into the Hall of Fame?

1 MVP award
1 Super Bowl win
1 Super Bowl MVP award

That’s already equal to or greater than the vast majority of NFL quarterbacks, some of whom are already in the Hall.

Drugs are bad for you.

Agreed 100%...

I mean it was a great would've could've should've story... but end of day you gotta put up the #s. One of the most ridiculous HOF entries ever. Shaun Alexander should be a lock (which is fucking ridiculous to say) after Terrell Davis got in.

8th all time rushing TDs... basically every RB around him is a HOF'er... except for Peterson because he played recently.

"OH WELL he had Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson!!!" So?

Well he should not have the SB MVP IMO

By NFL standards, he probably isn't. By my standards...yes. He's a transcendent talent, whose football skills have been on display long enough to judge...at least to me. I believe a lot of people who rely on the 'he hasn't played enough' argument are generally guys who need to rely on numbers alone, and not the actual impact the player has had.

I've always held brilliant players whose careers were cut short by injuries, over guys who were merely good, but lasted a long time.

I guess the only thing I would add is, I'd like to see him with lesser talent around him...and see really how much it's him and him alone. Other than that....the kid is obviously a rare talent.
