Sooner Born, Sooner Bred
I think that weather plays a bit of a part...it's going to be cold real cold. A high of 26, 40% change of rain/snow and windy. I think that favor's OU's offense, and also think that being an 11:00 AM game helps OU out as well.
It all depends on how the offense plays. The Sooner defense will give OU a chance in the game, but they can only do so much...it won't help if the offense conduct's a plethora of 3 and out's (a la Baylor). They held Bryce Petty, to 204 yards who threw for 359 against OSU. But if the defense says out on the field all game and gets worn out like against Baylor...it will just open up the run for the Pokes.
OU held KSU to just 24 yards rushing which is huge. Waters threw for 348 against OU, but after some halftime adjustments, specifically assigning Colvin to shadow Lockett. Things went in OU's favor. Lockett had 206 yards in the 1st half, to 72 yards in the second half.
Think it will be a much better game than people anticipate. Don't really think the crowd will effect the Sooners as much as people say. The Sooners have played on the road for some loud games, @Southbend, @Baylor, even @ KSU.
