Hearing the wolves are a team he'd like to join

Didn't you say free agents wouldn't entertain a place like Minny once they got Jimmy?

No I didn't.

I said if Jimmy doesn't resign they will be screwed because they aren't a FA destination. With Jimmy they might attract somebody.

Oh, and by the way, Kyrie isn't a free agent. Being willing to be traded somewhere is much different than signing with them as a free agent.

He had Chicago on the list before they traded Butler.

Sounds like Jimmy is the common denominator there.

No, all you said was

"As for the Timberwolves becoming a FA destination....good luck with that!!"

I'm aware Kyrie isn't a FA. He's demanding a trade to choose a team He wants. You tying to deflect that as a major different?? Haha

Fact is the wolves are now a place players want to entertain. NBA basketball is simple. The city no matta. It's who you got.

The Lakers should not even consider that.

Keep Lonzo, stay the course. They will be contenders soon.
Agree 100%.

I was just playing devils advocate because I said it wouldn't work financially unless they gave away their entire young core * Lonzo, Ingram, Randle, Nance * or the Cavs took Deng/KCP.

Exactly.

That's why Jimmy was a great trade even if he someone walks in 2years.

He's already a massive pipeline to generating traffic to this team.

Lavine and Dunn weren't bringing that.

The City doesn't matter as long as you are winning at a high level.

* See Cavs before, and after, Lebron.

You guys are in a fantastic position.

Congrats

The city does matter.

Some cities can attract big names without an immediate clear path to contention. Minnesota is not close to that. With Butler, Wiggins and Townes, maybe they have enough to attract a 4th guy and be legit. But, that window won't stay open long because Wiggins just got paid and Townes will too.

Wiggins and Townes without Butler might not be enough to bring players to Minnesota. If those two were in LA or Miami, they would be on top of everybody's list.

Kyrie to NOLA would be filthy too.

If I'm the Cavs, I'm targeting Dame, CJ.

Portland would have zero reason to be interested though.

What if Wall decided not to sign his deal?

Yowza.

It'd be nice to offload that T. Johnson contract too lol
I kinda like that kid.

I'd take him if they took baby Doc and Wesley Johnson.

Just ignore the fine print, it's nothing important.

Kyrie is a very good player.

But, he is a ball dominant scorer who doesn't play defense. He is the point guard version of Carmelo Anthony. He makes a great complimentary piece playing next to a stud like LeBron, but if he is the franchise player, expect results similar to what the Knicks have had with Melo.

"However, Irving has not excelled when playing without James. Last season, the Cavs were outscored by 90 points in 574 minutes when Irving played and James didn't. In the playoffs, they were outscored by 30 points in 61 minutes. In the Finals against the Golden State Warriors, the Cavs were outscored 37-13 when Irving was on the court and James was off."

That pretty much sums up what you need to know about making Kyrie "the guy"

I just saw this. It makes zero sense. How can you do better than playing with the most unselfish player in the league. Hard to believe this is true IMO
Kyrie is under contract and I doubt Cleveland will give him his wish.
