Magic and Kobe at one time weren't the best player on championship teams either.
I'm saying he will never be the best player on a team that wins a championship. And he's no Kobe, or Magic.

Kyrie to NOLA would be filthy too.

If I'm the Cavs, I'm targeting Dame, CJ.

Portland would have zero reason to be interested though.

What if Wall decided not to sign his deal?

Yowza.

Kyrie for Cousins.

Backcourt would be very small, but I think it would be a good deal for NOLA, and Cleveland isn't getting a better return.

A proven All-NBA player who is 25 for a 19 year old who has proven he is a really good passer with no handle in the summer league?

Yeah Magic would do that. Cavs wouldn't do that trade.

Would be bad for both.

I do not think Magic would do it. We already know who Kyrie is. He isn't a franchise player and he is paid a lot more. Keeping Ball gives you a chance at the following lineup next year:

Ball, Ingram, George, LBJ

Trading Ball for Kyrie means the best you an do is:

Kyrie, Ingram, 1 FA (George? Definitely not LeBron) and 1 more mid level type guy.

I would much rather keep the possibility of the first group, because they are title contenders. The second team wouldn't get out of the first round in the West.

Kyrie had a higher usage rate than LeBron last year.

I honestly don't know what Kyrie is thinking. But, I mean, we're talking about a guy that thinks the earth is flat, so....

Well I guess if LBJ is a real possibility that changes the calculus. That first team is a title contender insofar that any team that LBJ is on is a title contender. With LBJ it is barely a playoff team.

Everyone seems to be taking this to mean LeBron is definitely gone.

The reports that LeBron was shocked and devastated makes me think the opposite. Of course its a very real possibility... but I think if LeBron had his mind made up to leave already, he wouldn't care that much about Kyrie requesting a trade.

Unless he thinks this is his last year to win in Cleveland, and that it is a possibility. He still needs to rack up rings for the old legacy.

Yeah, I hear that.

I disagree.

Don't think he is 100% for sure, but he is upset because he was counting on 1 more year with Kyrie and he blocked a proposed deal involving Kyrie for Bledsoe earlier. Also, Kyrie has essentially said he is leaving because he doesn't want to play with James. That could be devastating to hear regardless of what he plans to do next year.

I was thinking Melo and Ntilikina for Kyrie.

Give Cleveland something for today and something for tomorrow.

For me, I think it's telling that Melo is not interested in going to the Cavs.

Those guys are all in collusion with one another.

Might he know something the rest of us don't?
