We need a runningback. I'd like a vet, not a rookie.

Love the plan on defense so far. Improve up the middle with a young core piece and get a solid veteran on the outside at our weakest spot. Good stuff!

Not Eagles news - but Saints head coach Sean Payton has been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

There's a rumor floating around that we're trying to unload Alshon Jeffery along with our 1st for Yannick Ngakoue.

Could be nothing, but I do think the Eagles are talking to JAX to get a feel to see what they want for him.

Was Ertz offered in a Julio Jones trade or is that a rumor?

Also did Ertz reject an Eagles contract to be highest paid TE?

I’m slightly disturbed by the 1 being out there. Not totally sure why, as I would love to have Ngakoue, but I want to have that 1 for whatever we can do with it too.

Beastly DLines are the best thing to have. Doesn't really matter the cost.

Our 1st rounder won't be a true difference maker at 21. Not for years anyway.

Also if it gets rid of Alshon that is a huge unload.

From what I'm hearing ... the interest in Ngakoue is very real and ongoing. The 1st rounder if a deal is reached would be a 2021 1st, Alshon and likely our remaining 3rd this year. I'd be all in as we still keep our 1st and 2nd while having three 4th's still left to draft depth while landing one of the best pass rushers in the game at ONLY 25 years of age (actually doesn't turn 25 till later this month). That would give us an insane DL!

I would do that as well. With 3 4ths, it gives us flexibility to move up and use next year's 3rd etc., to get back ino the another 2nd or 4th. Howie knows how to maneuver picks.

i'm not doing that trade. You're left with Djax (at his age an injury waiting to happen), Ward, JJAW, and a rookie as your receiving corp. That's not any kind of solution in anyone's book.

We would still have our 1st and 2nd this year to grab a receiver.

Yannick is 25. In his prime already. He's the perfect result for the 21st pick.

That's a lot for a 1 year rental. You'd have to sort out a contract before that trade is done. My sense is that he wouldn't be on the trade block if that could be done in Jax'ville.

The deal is for next year's 21st, not this year! We'll get 2 Wr's this year! We should have Perriman (hope), DJAX, 2 Rookies, and Ward.

You guys are selling me more. Keeping this years pick and getting a young difference maker makes sense. However, he needs to sign a deal as part of coming. Obviously.

So you pay him a shit ton, which is the same you would do with a 21st pick in a few years IF he turned out to be any good.

A DLine is worth whatever it takes.

It would be the same as we did with Slay, only for better compensation. You trade for him with a new deal already in place for him. Jags are in full rebuild again ... looks like they are not willing to pay him as much as we would be willing to pay him.

Naturally a deal would have to be in place first. He doesn't want to play in JAX anymore, and is trying to force a trade out. Doesn't mean he will get his wishes, but the longer it carries on the more disgruntled he'll become and may sit out the year. If they're smart, they will trade him while he still has value under the tag.

25 years old, in his prime, 62 games started and 37.5 sacks in his first 4 years in the league. THAT is exactly the type of player you trade a 1st round pick for. I wish our own 1st round pick from a couple of years ago would get his ass going and start producing like that.
