That's what I am thinking too. If he is trying to get himself and his assistants more money that is okay but this song and dance every year won't cut it. This is not what he talked about when he came to State College.

Its more than that, he wants the recruiting budget raised, more positions added to the recruiting staff like the big boys have, some facility upgrades and the necessary money to hire/keep top assistants. In short, he wants to put Penn state back at elite status

I may have jumped the gun yesterday with him leaving, but O-Beng and a few players tweeted out negative stuff once the "news" broke, so I assumed it was all but done. We won't know until he comes out, I'm hoping he stays, but just come out on way or another

I couple had to clarify their tweets had nothing to do with football. Apparently PSU didn't start to cave till yesterday when it appeared he was serious about moving, hope it wasn't too late. It will be done one way or another today I'd suspect, if it drags out any further Id say its great news for us if Texans are dead set on naming coach today

I find it amusing that the only thing that you hear about is O'Brien is working on a deal with the Texans and nothing about him working on a deal with PSU. Remember just 2 weeks ago when EVERYONE said on this thread B'OB wasn't going anywhere and there was zero chance he would because of...... Now it's 50/50 on if he stays or goes. Like I said never say never. Texans have the #1 pick so he can draft his QB he likes (would be better if he waited 3 seasons where he can draft Hack). Texans have a good offense for him to run and not a bad place to live.

Now if he was negotiating with PSU did get better stuff for the football team then I am all for his tactic. It's not like he is thinking of just himself and saying I want to be the highest paid coach but what I hear you guys saying is that he wants to be more competitive by having a better staff, recruiting money, equipment, etc. So if this is true I LOVE IT if he can hold to his guns and make the college pay up.

There is no presser scheduled, but BOB is in talks with BOT and dickrod. So, if he was sold on Texans job and done deal, why the hell would he be negotiating details with PSU??

Like I said, the recruits all still seem confident.

positive vibes picking up steam. Guy who ran for BOT and is pretty well connected confirm an earlier post and said he's heard its done, BOB stays.

I'll believe it 100% when PSU makes the announcement, but it sounds pretty good as of now
