Exactly. However, many others will hold any player available for the HOF in suspicion just because they played in the mid-90s to mid-00s era. Andruw Jones has had NO links to PEDs thus far, but there are still many that see his HR outburst to be indicative. I disagree, but if there are those that think that way in the general public, I imagine there would be some voters that may think likewise. Justifiable? Not in my opinion, but mine is not one that counts.

There really wasn't some radical ''outburst'' of power.
Andruw was the youngest player in NL history to accumulate 200 HR, he hit fewer than 250 afterward.
He had the 51 HR season at 28, the absolute historical apex for HRs in MLB history. He'd had 5 30+ HR seasons and 7 26+ HR seasons before that season. He was extremely consistent in producing power from 20 through 29 years old.

no

about 100 of his home runs and about 270 of his RBI came in garbage time of his carer after 30.

does a .263 avg, a.839 OPS, 1600 hits and 368 HR get him in? those were his numbers thru age 30.

That's an odd way to look at it.
Most HOF players fell off late in their careers. The PEDs boys have distorted that fact.
Andruw did fall off in his production earlier than most though. The affect on his totals is what will keep him off.

Yes. All-time great defensively and I think his bat was just good enough. His peak is really good (57.3 WAR from 98-06, behind only A-Rod and Bonds).
