At the beginning of the season, I predicted the over/under on Howell starts at 5 games. Well, we are now 7 games into the Howell experiment, and with mixed results, I wonder if it is worth it to 52 other players to continue with this experiment? I say no, and I'll post why in another thread titled "I've seen enough of Sam Howell."
After listening to and reading angered post after post following the disappointing loss to the New York Giants, I ask the following question... "Right Now who gives this team its best chance to win Howell or Brissett?

Neither , we know what Brisset is and at least Howell can grow . I give Howell the hole year and make an assessment at the end of the yr on what he is

The first thing to do would be to admit that this season is lost. Losing to the giants and bears should be enough proof of that.

Then, the rest of the season should be evaluative, especially regarding the offense.

If you want to see what Howell can do, start him.

If you want to evaluate the oline backups - recent draft picks - start brissett. That way, if they are truly worse than the starters (hard to believe) your potential “future qb” doesnt get killed.

I only say brisset to hopefully save Howell and let him learn a lirttle from the sidelines. Also to expose EB even more. I think he took Reid’s best drop back play sheet and is trying to live off of that.

Brissett at least gives them a better chance to win games. The Howell experiment comes at the expense of 52 other players on the team. Right now, Brissett, as mediocre as he is... is the far better option than Howell.

Which one will give them the best 2024 draft picks?
Depends on how deep the fire sale is going to be. Draft position is extremely important for 2024, but if they decide that everything must go and you're getting a little better play with JB, then trade return increases. That's equally important.

This would be an organizational failure. Business still needs to happen regardless of the lame duck coach. Harris & Co will have to make these tough decisions before the trade deadline. Do you keep or trade Sweat and Young or just one of them. Do you make any other moves that will reward future results? These decisions have to be made fairly quickly and I don't want RR & Co making them as they won't be here next year.

Would you still want EB as the next coach?

Really? The expense of the other players. If Jacoby gives them a better chance, n who knows if he actually does.

What does that mean? With Howell they finish 5-12 n with JB they finish 6-10-1.

Considering the shitty coaching, non-existent game-planning n habitual lack of 1st half preparation. Imma go out on a limb n say the expense of the 52 other players was fucked a long time ago.
