Cable is so bad that he tool a DL and converted him to a Guard, whom was one of the first players plucked off the FA market this year from another team... That's some bad teaching from a OL coach...

Cable can coach, especially run blocking. It lack of top tier talent that makes it tough. For what ever reason the Seahawks just haven't had much luck identifying good OL. Yet they seem to continue stocking up on the same mode of OL.

Yes they improved doing these thing. Seemed to make a point of throwing the ball quickly. However I take the improvement with a grain of salt in the second half because I felt the defenses they were throwing on were suspect and when they ran into teams with good defenses like the Rams it was the same old experience. To many weak links when it comes to pass blocking last year. Needs to be address before RW gets hurt. The center of the OL needed upgrading last year, both guards and center, now LT might be added to the problem.

It was a bright spot to me because it was still something over a good stretch that we hadnt sean before. Were those defenses great? No. But you have to beat bad defenses before you can beat good ones.

And I dont consider that Rams game more of the same experience as what they saw earlier in the year. In that game, it was really just one guy (Bailey) that was getting his ass kicked all day as opposed to earlier in the year when everybody was out of sorts.

Man Andre Smith. Why not pick that guy up? He's a mauler run blocker and the Vikings just signed him to a 1 year $3.25M prove it deal. UGH, what a steal! I know RT isn't a huge need but if we have to shift Gilliam or something... man.

I am Sure JS, Pete and the ASSISTANT HC Cable all sat down together and made a list of players they would like to look at. I also have NO DOUBTS IN MY MIND that they all "Pete, Cable and John" have watched film on the guys they signed. No Way JS would say Hey here is the Guys we are bringing in. JS, Pete and Cable NEVER have worked that way. They all have equal Say in it but that's what stinks. Cable has no clue how to Coach these guys in todays day and age and shouldn't have a say in a DAMN thing, he has not EARNED that right. Maybe if some of these guys at least ONE of them, had got better but he can't be O For 5 or 6 or what ever it is and still feel like he knows what he is doing let alone Pete and John letting him sift through talent that he couldn't grade if he had their grades right in front of his nose.

I feel Cable has this HUGE ego and thinks he can turn a pile of trash into a Pro-bowl Olineman. We have seen him turn Pro-bowl Olineman into trash that's one thing we HAVE seen lol. Cables hands were involved in those OL signings as much and maybe even more than John and Petes.

<sigh>

So why then do a supposedly couple of smart guys like Pete and John continue to hire this waste of oxygen with the big ego, Tom Cable?

That would be whats called a resume enhancer in this neck of the woods.

He probably has pics of pete and john holding trump signs. Now that would rile the loonies up.

Cable can Coach people who don't have a clue, it's easier to teach someone that has a blank slate but it's harder to make someone BETTER when they all ready know as much as you do.

IE he can teach someone to run but he can not teach a sprinter to run faster.

Cable has proven he can take someone that was not a olineman and turn them into a below average olineman but he CAN NOT take a average or above average olineman and make them BETTER.

So in other words, the OL was the reason RW was sacked 36 times the first half of the season and RW is the reason he was only sacked 10x's the 2nd half of the season... Cable had nothing to do with that...

53-27 (.663) 2 Division Titles
7-3 (.700) 1 Super Bowl, 1 Super Bowl Loss

Are we wanting different results?

The line improved dramatically in the second of half of this last season. Are we remembering it differently now?

I'm not sweating the OL or anything else due to the early going in this off-season. It's like baking a cake. Doesn't really make much sense to taste it before it's done cooking.

You have to invest $ in the O-line. Seattle opted to invest heavily on the D. They have that luxury by having a QB that c an scramble like RW can. He also has the uncanny ability of not taking big hits. Hopefully for Hawk fans that continues:hope:.

Cable is a good O-line coach. Will be interesting to see what he does without ML?

LB Mike Morgan has resigned with the Seahawks.

Morgan, 28, has primarily served as a special teams player for the Seahawks since joining the team in 2011. However, he did earn a pair of starts in 2015, recording his first career sack in Week 6 against the Panthers and 17 tackles for the season. Pro Football Focus assigned him a solid pass coverage grade.

No details on the contract but he was signed to a 1 mil deal for last year.

Yeah, I was glad to see this happen. Very good ST'r and we can use the LB depth since Bruce departed.

He seems to be a very good disruptor on run and pass plays. Loves getting after the RBs and stuffing them at the line. Seems like he's always involved where the action is to help break up plays. Good depth for the LB corps and an extra DE when called up to put pressure on the line.

I like him on the team and glad to see him out there in 2016.

Yup, glad to see him sign. Always seemed to play with the motor revved up.
