Agreed, but the two plays were anomalies. On the safety that ball clearly passed the LOS, and if Ginn just pushes the ball out of bounds we punt it there.

Niners need a backup TE who can actually catch a ball in addition to running with it. A Zack Ertz type player would make me really happy.

They just showed the Ginn replay again and Ginn actually got to the ball before Janoris J and could have fallen on it. This guy needs to just leave.

Just want to remind everyone. Kaep scored all 10 of the Rams regulation points. Safety for 2 points and a fumble that turned into 8 points. I'm not sure which play was worst either. The safety came when we were snapping the ball from around 13 yard line. Kaep just made a young QB mistake and ran into the endzone trying to avoid the pass rush. The pitch though is just something you can't do with the lead down close to the other teams endzone. He gave Ginn no chance to field the ball. You can't really fault Ginn on that play for not coming up with the ball. The best he might could have done is just kick it through the back of the endzone so all they got was safety.

Oh and fuck Akers. 2 game winning missed FG's. We are 3 Aker missed FG's from having 2 more wins on our record right now.

the safety was NOT kaeps fault. The refs blew that call. Should not have been a safety

The worst play IMO that Kaep had all day was the run where he didn't get out of bounds and left the Rams an extra 20 sec. on their final drive.

Not faulting Ginn for not catching the pitch, I'm faulting Ginn for letting Jenkins score.

After he put the Rams.... wait I have to re-word this. After he gave the Rams the tie. He never should have been in a situation to lead us to a late victory. He put himself in that situation. If not for the safety and the pitch to China there is no 2 Aker's missed FG's or Walker dropped TD passes. The game would have just been over or at the very least should have been with the Rams have little time left to drive the field for a TD just to tie.

As far as CK goes I was expecting him to have a rough game or two before the season was over but he got 0 help from the playcalling.

Slants were open all day long and we barely exploited them and we kept running into a brick wall instead of calling for more passing plays.

Could we possibly do any worse with AJ Jenkins? It remains to be seen, but I'm willing to take my chances with him as opposed to an overrated player from OSU who was drafted way too high and has not done a whole lot to significantly impact the teams he has played for.

It wasn't just those two huge gaffes that defined Kaepernick's game today. It was his almost total failing on almost every drive during the game. He played poorly and showed very poor recognition of defenses.
