Awesome, awesome game. I trulythought we had blown it because our defense was gassed and gashed with so many injuries.

A few thoughts on officiating and someone can correct me with I'm wrong. I thought the Miami reciever clearly didn't have possession of the ball on the call that was overturned until he was out of bounds.
LT was a good two yards past the line of scrimmage on the one play, no doubt, but I thought that wasn't a reviewable call. I thought you could only review catches, fumbles, that sort of thing, but not judgement calls by the officials? I could be wrong on that though.
Also, on LT's fumble when we were up 14-0 and about to score, watch the replay. It looked like LT clearly got speared when the ball was on the ground. Should have been a PF penalty in my opinion.

Otherwise, just a great game. Hope Gayle and JGW heal soon. Don't know the status on the injuries. Also, we better keep it up because Wake will give us all we can handle, especially if we're not ready.

lil' help??? I guess my DVR didnt pick up the game for some reason and the little stuff is sometimes hard to see in the stadium.

1) The logan fumble. It looked like he ended getting possession back before it gets ripped out while on the ground. Can someone explain what happened???

2) The long pass that what reviewed that set up a TD. IN or OUT, honestly looked like a catch to me but my buddy who sits first row within 5 yards of the play said he was bobbling it?

3) What happened with the Collins unsportsman like? i seen him throw the ball but people were saying Jacory did something also? <---Btw IMO VT wins the game going away without this penalty.

3. Collins obviously deserved the flag, but Harris was standing over him and it looked like taunting. Whatever Harris said triggered Collins reaction. There should have been flags on both sides.

You can review to see if a QB passes the LOS before throwing. Much like you can review the spot of the ball when determining first downs. The judgement calls that are not reviewable are the penalties or lack there of.

The long pass was completed out of bounds. His right foot (the one inbounds) came up before he gained complete possession as you could still see the ball slip between his arms before cradling it with his body as his left foot hit out of bounds.

The unsportsmanlike penalty should have been offsetting as Harris was standing over our defender talking shit with the ref right there.

Some injury updates that I've heard:

1) Gayle has a sprained ankle and may be back next weekend. Glad to hear that since it looked bad coming off the field, just glad it wasn't the knee.

2) Brooks was injured early in the game. He had a sprained ankle also, but was able to come back into the game.

3) JGW has a foot injury. Don't know the extent of it, but it doesn't sound good.

2. Even on TV you can see that its not a catch. Watching the replay even Craig James the douche he is admits that its 4th down. Awful, awful call.

3. Should have been flags on both. The ref was RIGHT THERE. He saw Jacory standing over JR talking shit and not letting him up. Its not like Collins beamed the ball at him either. Should have been on both.

With all that in mind VT should have won by 2 more TDs. Those last two calls came on big 3rd downs that would have forced Miami to punt instead of the TDs they would score off those drives.

1. The deep pass down the sideline was 100% out of bounds. The ball slipped through his hands and he possessed it using his knee. By that point his foot was out of bounds.

2. The simultaneous possession was just a weird play. The guy kind of caught the ball in bounds (with Exum's arm in there) then Exum pulled it away once they landed. I don't really know what to make of it.

3. Unsportsmanlike conduct was total BS; Harris was in his face talking trash. Even the announcers agreed that the call was interesting. After the play, Jacory was celebrating as if he actually did something well. Can't stand that piece of trash.

4. Touchdown pass on the flea flicker was very interesting. Absolutely SHOCKED that they didn't review that. When they showed the better angle, ball definitely looked loose in his hands before it hit the ground.

I'm obviously happy about the win, but some of these bad decisions could have cost us the game. That's not ok

Hate to throw anything negative into the conversation after such a great game but has anyone else noticed that our DB's (specifically fuller and hosley) dont seem to get there head around in coverage very good? I know im nit picking a little but it seems like we are missing a lot of break-ups/possible INT's and getting your head around is fundamental CB technique.

WOW..Great game last night. I am eating some major crow today, I didn't think our offense had it in them. LT played absolutely fantastic last night. Hopefully this will get him confident and we can go on a run over the next couple months and get a rematch with Clemson. If we play that well every week, GT and UNC should be the only teams that could give us much trouble the rest of the way. My hats off to Miami, they have a stud running back and their line played well, their running game was above average. Our D was gassed and they ran all over us. Even with the injuries, I don't think we will get ran on like that for the rest of the year. No hats off to the referees though, they almost effin blew it for us tonight. I agree with you guys in saying the long catch in the first half was crap (especially since it was called an incomplete) and led to a touchdown..the simultaneous possession was crap, not sure you could say the receiver had possession, and the personal foul was a draw..JH was clearly taunting our defender..Luckily it didn't end up costing us the game. I am excited for the W and excited that the O showed some life.

The end of the game is so epic. You can hardly even hear the commentary over the crowd noise. That's what I love to see/hear
