Polian, Some of the transcript from a Sirius show

Redskins Home
ask clinton portis about being set up for life ? all football players are set up for life if they are wise with their money

my question is why does KC have to eat it and take less then market value .

Not gonna continue to defend my position. Some of us are clearly two worlds apart on this.

I'm NOT a KC hater, I THINK he is a pretty good/not great QB, I DON'T think he wants to be a Skin LT, I DON'T believe he is worth the money he wants. I AM a Redskins fan, and I THINK there is plenty of blame on both sides. That's all.

Now, what's done is done. Chances are fairly decent we are gonna lose Cousins, so now what you have to decide is if you are going to continue to support this team or follow KC to SF, Cleveland, Calgary, or wherever the hell he ends up.

you wont defend it because you have no legs to stand on it . i can search engine your response to the 65/95 mil bogus story . its there for the world to see. i can search engine every damn time you went to the negative on KC yet claim 'he's your guy "

i am a redskins fan too , my record on supporting whomever is the qb is on record for all to see . so that talking point is a fail as well

only one side is to blame , the FO who rejected 2 previous agreements and then low balled him continuously since then threw him under the bus it is 100% their fault and not one iota on KC

This is why I don't bust your chops as bad as Dean. You are not obnoxious.

You state your opinion as opinion. Dean will say it is a fact he should counter and it is a fact KC is to blame.

Now your comment about following KC to SF was pretty obnoxious. If he goes elsewhere, I hope he fails miserably, just like I wish on all former Skin's players.

Here is why if he does leave, I hope he does extremely well.

Because Dan Snyder, Bruce Allen and yes a portion of this fan base learn nothing from Kirk giving them a see I was right moment. I honestly dont think Dan, Bruce, or that same portion of the fan base learned a single fucking thing over the past five years when it comes to how NOT to handle the QB position. I guarantee that if Kirk isnt singed, quite a few of these.. oh he is alright, but we can do betters, will be on board with us doing what ever it takes to get the next wonderkid. And thats despite it failing miserably the last time we tried to take a sort cut to greatness.

So when he leaves, because thats where we are headed, I hope he does extremely well. Maybe if this team is embarrassed enough they will finally learn patience, and that winning off the field in march thru August, has not really translated to winning on the field for the last 20 years.

Mike Jones from the Washington Post:

"First, take everything that comes out of Allen’s mouth with a grain of salt. Just because there was no formal counteroffer doesn’t mean there weren’t back-and-forth discussions between McCartney and the Redskins. There were. Lots of them. Virtually six months of negotiations. Remember how in June the spin out of Redskins camp was that talks had taken a positive turn. Things can’t be described as positive if one side isn’t doing any talking. Even top negotiator Eric Schaffer said in late June that there were lots of back-and-forth talks and proposals between him and McCartney. The agent made it clear where he saw Cousins’s worth, but also relayed that his client wanted more time to see the direction the Redskins are headed. And if the Redskins weren’t willing to sweeten their deal and do what they could to give Cousins greater long-term peace of mind — in this case, guarantee some of his salary in the years beyond next season — there was no point in making an official counteroffer."

So how does one engage in "lots of back and forth talks and proposals" in June without ever addressing the original proposal from May? Once again, Bruce Allen blatantly lied. He really does believe that we are all idiots that would believe this line without investigating further with facts and statements readily available? He was partially right, however. There are a few that do believe this lie because they are too lazy to actually investigate the facts or because it fits their narrative that somehow KC is just being greedy and that is what has hosed this franchise at this point.

care to comment on this counter offer guys ? VT , deanno ? kind of blows up your stupid ass assertions doesnt it ? laughable you hold on to that talking point

Fair reasoning.

Maybe we can work a deal. He stays healthy and plays great for two seasons before injuries catch up with him.

Honestly, at this point, I don't care. I just want Bruce Allen fired. If I am Dan Snyder, if I was as dumb as Dan Snyder, and I read what the media is saying and the fans are saying about how we handled this whole damn fiasco, I would fire Bruce Allen on the spot.

Allen should have been fired as soon as he announced to the world that they would tag KC if no deal could be worked out. What a stupid statement to make in the middle of negotiations. He just announced the minimum value the franchise has placed on KC and fucked up the whole negotiation. What an moron.

Just read a report where Eric Schaffer admitted that they did counter (WaPo reporting it). He said there were numerous rounds of numbers going back and forth for the last few months. SO, that puts an end to this argument.

can you give me the link?

That is always our point. You make statements as if they are fact without ANY knowledge.

I can make statements like any other poster. I never said that was a fact.

First of all - no matter what - I don't want the Redskins to do worse simply to teach someone a lesson (& I hope that you are not suggesting that). Also - as I mentioned elsewhere - I won't care about Cousins or any other player if/when they leave the Redskins to play for another team.

Most importantly why would you believe that this or anything else will teach this team a lesson? If that was true shouldn't Snyder & co already have a learned a ton of things by now & shouldn't they be operating as the model team in the NFL? How about the signings of me-first, past their prime busts like Bruce Smith, Deion & Jeff George? How about the signing of Fat Al? How about firing Marty & hiring clowns like Spurrier & Zorn? What about Archuletta & Randle El? How about that embarrassing experiment in charging people to attend training camp? How about the RG3 trade & the embarrassing circus that followed. More recently - how about the SM fiasco?

If this team, the FO & the owner have not changed after all of that what in the world makes you think that they will change their ways if say Cousins thrives with another team? I don't see it. I think that the owner & his lackeys will always put the blame on someone else, keep doing things the same way & use fans as their version of an ATM & not really care that much about building a winner. I would love to be wrong about this!!

We have all seen you make statements and pass them off as fact.

We have all seen you quote your idols like they were your thoughts.

That is why I bust your chops so badly and not others.
