I'm thinking you might feel differently if you were able to look at this not as a Patriots fan. Who knows maybe not though...
It has nothing to do with being a Patriot's fan. It has to do with the fact that Marino was a choke artist with a million dollar arm and 10c head while Brady has better stats than Marino in every category to go along with a most impressive trophy case.
lolzzz ok.... Of course it has to do with you being a Patriots fan. Choke artist? How about he had shit around him his entire career and the biggest difference Belichick > Shula. Better stats? Seriously? You do realize the rules are a smidge different now right? I had respected your opinion until this bullshit post...
Marino played on some great teams, loaded on offense and defense. That you would claim otherwise?.................... well, maybe you missed a few games.
Roger Staubach was my favorite.
my favorite that isnt a HOF QB though was Steve Deberg.
that guy had horrible luck. All he was ever replaced by was HOFers right after he gets to his new job pretty much LOL
Denver got Elway
SF got Joe Montana (they actually had posters of Deberg & Walsh saying something about changing the game. Their team wasnt all that back then)
Then went to the hapless Buccs & then they drafted Steve Young.
Finally in KC he got to start for awhile.
I will always remember him playing Football with a pin sticking out of his Pinky, Grimacing just taking the snaps from center. Back when football players were allowed to be football players!
That is my favorite "non favorite team" QB.
I didnt forgetyou forgot that he was replaced in Kansas City when they traded for Montana. He then went to Miami to back up Marino and finally made the Super Bowl with the 98 Falcons.
Well a couple things:lolzzz ok.... Of course it has to do with you being a Patriots fan. Choke artist? How about he had shit around him his entire career and the biggest difference Belichick > Shula. Better stats? Seriously? You do realize the rules are a smidge different now right? I had respected your opinion until this bullshit post...

And he certainly made Duper and Clayton better, but having both of those guys for 10 seasons is a luxury that Brady never had.No, no he didn't. If you want me to post some of the stats from those teams I will, i'll make time. The best running back he ever had was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, not the HOF NBA player the running back oh and he sucked, go look at how many different running backs he had, he made average WR's like Duper and Clayton look good and his defenses were not that good, go look it up, stop posting shit you read on bleacher report and actually take a minute to look shit up before you stick your entire leg in your mouth!
And he certainly made Duper and Clayton better, but having both of those guys for 10 seasons is a luxury that Brady never had.
And it's really splitting hairs on the running backs. In Brady's career the Pats average ranking in yards per rushing attempt has been 20.3 out of 32 teams, and the Dolphins during Marino's career average ranking was 19.8 out of 28 team. So while he may not have had any great running backs, he had some decent running games, including 3 times in the top 10. Brady's 5 Super Bowls were all won without a running game in the top half of the league, including one where they were 30th in yards per attempt.
I agree on the defense and coaching, Brady has obviously benefited greater than Marino did. But as you can see, I'm not weighing team accomplishments too heavily. I look at how a QB performed in a playoff run. Brady has had two championship runs where he didn't have to lean on his defense to bail him out, 2004 and 2014. Marino didn't have any.
That's just stupid talk.
Brady is not just the QB G.O.A.T., he is on a path to be the NFL G.O.A.T.
Marino isn't even in the discussion any longer.
