Elway was a throwback to some of the old school QB's like Stabler and Kilmer. They say he'd down case of beer along with drinking whiskey out of the bottle the night before a home game.

I hated watching Favre because I was waiting for him to throw and int. Rodgers is the most exciting to watch of all Packer QB's and now Dangeruss is my favorite non Packer to watch.

Roger Staubach was my favorite.

my favorite that isnt a HOF QB though was Steve Deberg.

that guy had horrible luck. All he was ever replaced by was HOFers right after he gets to his new job pretty much LOL

Denver got Elway
SF got Joe Montana (they actually had posters of Deberg & Walsh saying something about changing the game. Their team wasnt all that back then)
Then went to the hapless Buccs & then they drafted Steve Young.
Finally in KC he got to start for awhile.
I will always remember him playing Football with a pin sticking out of his Pinky, Grimacing just taking the snaps from center. Back when football players were allowed to be football players!

That is my favorite "non favorite team" QB.

Roger Stauback and Tom Landry ... two class acts that will never be replaced imo.

Before Seattle got a franchise, I pulled for the Vikings ... probably because they were on TV a lot back then.

Fran Tarkenton was mine (I'm showing my age =/).

Watched him many times and he was the first real scrambling qb....Dude was like swatting at a bumble bee...
But considering all the old greats Unitas, Staubach, Bradshaw, Starr, Stabler, etc, right up to now...The original Joe Cool Montana is my all time fav qb....Clutch and never shook, a true winner to the core !!!

The fact that it was against the Cowboys didn't hurt. When you were an Eagles fan growing up, you had a "second team" because your team stunk. My second team was always the Niners in the Walsh era.

The Eagles still suck so who is your second team now?

Tell me it's the Patriots!

Elway is a dooshbag and he should be lined up against a wall with Eli Manning and shot. That's what I'm talking about.

Aside from the Patriots QBs, I liked Len Dawson, then I was big fan of Roger Staubach and Ken Stabler. Jim kelly was easy to root for unless Buffalo was playing NE.

All that being said, Joe Flacco is my favorite QB evah!

Outside of Seattle, Tom Brady.

He's really easy to hate, but I just have so much respect for the guy that I can't say there are many other QBs I'd take over him in NFL history. Do I root for him? No. I do respect the hell out of him though.
