It's that stupid contrived accent he has. The dude's from San Mateo. You want to know what people from San Mateo talk like? Turn on the evening news, and maybe sprinkle it with a few "dude"'s and "like"'s. It's like Step Curry and him took the same "Thug/Hick accent for square rich professional athletes" class.
