Farrell UM WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?!?!

"Best chance to get one or maybe 2 runs before Janseen?"

Are you kidding me!?!?!

Brock Holt (odd how I want this guy to hit) was seeing the ball well, 2-2 at the time and you have David Ross and Xander Boaegarts hitting behind him AND you have HOLT BUNT!?!

You can't blame the loss on that play in particular because they hit into other DPs and piss poor fielding and inept hitting but still how in the world do you think that was a good idea?!?

Here's a thought: WHAT ABOUT A HIT AND RUN? it will at least have a better chance of them not hitting into a DP!

John Farrell defends Boston Red Sox late-inning sacrifice bunts in loss to Blue Jays | masslive.com

Red Sox manager John Farrell defended his decision to bunt in an attempt to spark the flailing offense. But the Red Sox had actually had solid contact on Tuesday and the bunts seemed to break that momentum. Moreover, the team only has five sacrifice bunts this season, putting them 28th out of the 30 teams.

"Knowing that the top of our lineup is coming up in the ninth inning, just trying to cut the deficit by one or possibly by two with a base hit," said Farrell of Holt's eighth-inning sacrifice after the game.

"We've got to trust everyone in the lineup," Farrell added. "Despite Brock having good at-bats tonight, felt like that’s what the situation called for. Didn’t want to turn a three-run deficit over to (Casey) Janssen. Any way we could to try to chip away and cut into some runs — they’ve been a premium to come by. We're looking to anything we can to scratch out a run."

It's not just now, his managing in the postseason was very frustrating at times.
