Cousins on bye. Already have Tanny, Carr a FA. While Carr has the better matchup on paper, Tanny has put up 23 points or more in 4 straight games, 2 against solid pass D's. Carr, otoh, has put up 21 or more in 3 of last 4, but the lone game he didn't was against a good pass D.

Think I'd keep riding Tannehill. No consistent receivers, but he keeps getting it done. He's really flourished in this "don't F it up and keep handing it to DH" role.
They're coming off bye and playing at home too.

also not saying tanny wont succeed. He had 3 td's vs KC which VASTLY boosted his stock. But KC is also a team you RUN RUN RUN RUN on. and the titans did, tanny only threw 19 passes last game

washington is 14th
oakland 16th.


oakland has the 27th most pass attempts, they just dont pass much
the jets are up to 11th in pass attempt.
the lions are shockingly 20th

But over the last 3 detroits thrown more than the other 2.

Carr on paper is great. But Oakland really wants to be a run first team. And have been. Which is going to slow down the game plenty. And if the jets don’t get an early lead then Oakland will control the time too well for Carr to get The yards.

Had a similar list of QBs to choose from since I've lost trust in Goff, and I went Darnold - didn't know he was also an option.

Jets can't get the ground game going and have been throwing well against soft secondaries, which is OAK weakness on D.

Bell, Crowder, Griffin are all good plays this week as well, imo

Ended up going with Darnold, which worked out great. Too bad Mike Evans, Jaylen Samuels, Saquan Barkley and Jacob Hollister all combined for a whopping 20 points to virtually make the Darnold add a moot point.

Oh two face palms for saying who would of thought he have two rushing? He did throw only 18 passes. That’s incredibly efficient and lucky.

the comments were spot on 18 pass attempts 33 rushing.

Mariota was trash. What's funny is Tanny isn't even playing all that good. If you watch the whole games, which I don't know why any non-Titans fans would subjugate themselves to such torture, its ugly 80% of the time and then you look up and you're winning. Speaks to just how fucking atrocious Mariota was when Tanny is just "meh" yet they are that much better

I watched maybe 5 minutes of their game today. Mind you, i had just got done watching the Lions and Redskins pound nails with their collective foreheads. So, I was rather impressed with TN.


Pretty sure the only QBs with a higher rating are Russ and Cousins. Small sample size for Tanny, but worth mentioning. Also worth mentioning, he's thrown 4 picks. MM only threw 2.

Top notch safety tandem, fast LBs, decent DL and Derrick Henry

I like old time football, and I believe a lot of NFL fans do as well - - - tough defense + power run game is very watchable and entertaining. Then mix in a few splash plays to Corey Davis and watch AJ Brown rack up the YAC yards, not sure which team you've been watching since Tannehill took over, but this is a good product in today's NFL.

Henry scored 2 TDs on 2 consecutive offensive snaps last night, how is that not fun to watch?
Can't imagine anyone has done that before, and if they have, he is in very small company to accomplish that feat.

im just joking i dont care on that, but i still kinda stand by the analysis. I mean some guys become hyper efficient with low oppertunity, like russ wilson. I just dont trust tanny like that. Thats just me. But he may be doing it.....and keep doing it

It's fool's gold. They are not a good football team. They have a nice defense, but that's it. They benefit from playing a bunch of other bad to meh teams.
