Here to admit I was wrong the entire time. Tried giving Kawhi the benefit of the doubt and I was wrong. Time for us to move on. Into mediocrity we go. Spurs fan till I die.
So, @DJ, @shopson67, @Shaqdaddy11 .....
Let's see if you change your tune about trading the Kiddie Corps now that LeBron, Kawhi and George are a legit possibility.
I would trade every last single one of them....lol
That trio would kill Houston.
If you got some good vets like Crawford, Thad Young etc....
The Warriors would be in fucking trouble.
We have been on the same page on this topic from the jump.Every last one.
What I think some in here don't grasp is that teams like the Lakers don't have to follow the Warrior or 76er build plans. And also, those plans are much less likely to materialize than trading those assets for multiple established stars.
You collect young assets and get as much cap space as possible. Then you go more with a Miami Heat or a Boston Celtic '07 build plan. Trade your assets for stars and use the cap space to go after the best of the best.

I've come around if the possibility lies in landing all three guys. Ideally i'd still like to keep Ingram at the end of the day though.
Rumor on ESPN has it Ball, Kuzma, Deng and a pick might be enough

You think Pop would wanna deal with all the Ball families bullshit on a daily basis? I think if anything they'd want lots of additional picks or Lonzo would have to be moved elsewhere and get picks back to San Antonio.
Lmfao...
There is zero chance they take Deng.
ZERO.
There going to take the best deal.
Dude, you missed the biggest elephant. You think Pop would wanna deal with all the Ball families bullshit on a daily basis? I think if anything they'd want lots of additional picks or Lonzo would have to be moved elsewhere and get picks back to San Antonio.

DENG.
The Celtics, Philly can give them Players and Picks without the albatross of a contract attached.
Allegedly, he's interested in the Knicks too.
Isn't that the spot Kyrie is trying to go as well?
Wasn't the Spurs on his destination list before he landed with the Celtics?
Yeah, they are on crack.I agree. Like I said, this is from ESPN though:
"As the price for getting both Ball and Kuzma, San Antonio would have to take on the final two seasons of Deng's contract, which would cut into the team's 2019 cap space. It's possible, however, that the Spurs could rehabilitate Deng into a rotation player and salvage some value from his deal."
Yeah, they are on crack.
The bidding war should be intense now that we are 6 days away from the draft.
They will get good offers.

Whatever happens this off season is going to be hella interesting.
I think the only way the Lakers really land him is if he refuses to play and sign with any other team but LA
what is a deal that you would be down with? Here to admit I was wrong the entire time. Tried giving Kawhi the benefit of the doubt and I was wrong. Time for us to move on. Into mediocrity we go. Spurs fan till I die.
2what is a deal that you would be down with?
Rank these ( i have a feeling what will come in last)
1. Robert Covington, #10 pick, Fultz (and cap filler if needed)
2. Kyrie Irving, a first round pick or two
3. Brandon Ingram, Kuzma and Deng and say a first roudn pick or two in the future
4. Kevin Love, Rodney Hood, #8 pick
I can't envision a scenario where anything the Lakers could offer, plus Deng, would be better than a Boston or Philly package.Depends on how many assets the Lakers are giving. I would not rule it out. But, Ball, Ingram and a couple picks would be the minimum.
I will also say the Lakers giving additional assets to rid themselves of Deng may be the play.
