At this point I would make a trade if it brings us a good return. I was looking on the main board to see what trades happpnened already and what the returns were.. I think the Flyers and Hextall are going to do well ar the trade deadline imo.
The bottom 6 include Laughton and Cousins. You want to see them go?If I'm the Flyers, in preparation for next year I go ahead and move Medvedev for whatever picks you can get for him. This will open one spot on D to give another young d-man a shot. Ghost, Del Zotto, Streit, Gudas and Schultz return as your top 5, Manning as a 6/7. I don't mind Streit coming back to continue serving as a mentor for the young guys. Move him next year if the team is out of the playoffs. MacDonald back to the minors.
Up front, I think a top 6 of Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Couturier, Schenn and Raffl (yes, I like his game more than most) can get the job done for now. It's the bottom 6 that I would like to see significantly overhauled. I don't care who they keep and who they move, as long as the change is significant. It's clear that what they are running out there night after night is just woefully inadequate and lacks chemistry.
Mason and Neuvirth return.
After what Hexy has done in his short time here I have to trust that he will do the right thing. At this point I would make a trade if it brings us a good return. Yup. Hextall has done an amazing job in the short time he has taken over the GM position. He came into a mess that Homer left. Hextall is emptying the trash. After what Hexy has done in his short time here I have to trust that he will do the right thing.

Not a fan of this at all. Raffl leaves too much to be desired too often and yet I expect him to get a nice contract of $3mil+. Just not worth tying up money into a replaceable depth guy IMO.
I agree on Raffl unless someone offers us something we cant refuse and I would like to add Schenn to your no trade list. Not moving Raffl would not bother me as much as other things might. Raffl plays a good two way game. When he is on the top line he scores the ugly goals. Simmonds has better hands but Raffl has decent size and plays a strong game and can play all three forward positions.
I don't move Laughton or Cousins. I do listen to offers for anyone who isn't Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Cooter, Laughton, Cousins, Ghost. Now, the real question is what would the people who are left may not bring a great deal. Streit, Gudas, Gagner . . . IMHO those are the players who are most likely to be moved out and most likely to bring a decent return. Considering that Hexy has said he isn't interested in "adding" to the team that would mean he is looking for picks and prospects.
I wouldn't put them on the no trade list but and this is a big but I was ready to trade away Couts and Schenn when they were 22 and 21.I don't get putting Laughton and Cousins on a no-trade list. What have they shown to warrant that status?
I think Laughton has played better on the wing. I am interested to see how he and Counsins finish the year. Good speed but someone needs to score.I think Konecny bumps Raffl out of the top 6 JBM posted next season. I think he's going to be special.
Then you can have a line of Raffl, Cousins, Laughton as 3 or 4 and i think that's OK as well. Could really use an upgrade over VDV and White, i'm OK with PEB being a 4th member of the bottom 6 with Raffl, Cousins, and Laughton

As of right now our known rumors are:
Friedman says that teams are interested in Streit.
Seravalli claims Medvedev would return a 3rd
McKenzie said we could have had an offer of a couple of 2nds for Gudas
Friedman also said a few weeks ago there could be interest in Gagner
