@IgorEronko: Slava Voynov’s agent: ‘A misunderstanding took place. Slava's LA King for now and I don’t know anything about any done deals involving him’

@IgorEronko: More Voynov’s agent: ‘There is an interest from other NHL teams, but Slava’s future could be discussed only after civil case is closed’

and do i really need to deal with the misinformed a-holes on twitter saying how "classic" it is that the flyers acquired voynov?

because the flyers have a rich history in bringing in dickhead players who abuse women and children....

This

Every Flyers fan knows if he's not charged, they'd love to have him on their team

I wish all the cocksucking feminists and twitter policers would jump off a bridge

A "misunderstanding" usually means details were leaked that shouldn't have been...I suspect there's some truth in the original rumor, but perhaps a deal that has to wait for the off-season.

I agree. Voynov's agent didn't just pick the Flyers out of a hat, there has to be some smoke where there is fire. Unfortunately if Voynov is cleared he'll be pretty valuable in the summer. Now would have been the perfect buy low opportunity.

I'm guessing the Kings and Flyers might have a handshake deal and they have to wait until the offseason to do something

Depending on the price I would love that. Obviously there are the off ice issues but on the ice you really can't argue against him. Would be a great pick up with the kids coming along.

Who goes the other way in this deal?

Probably picks or something like that

Also, the Kings might not be able to re-sign Justin Williams, if he goes elsewhere, I wonder if the Kings trade his rights at the draft and the Flyers try to do something there

Voynov cannot be moved as long as he is suspended.
I would not love/sign up to see him as a Flyer. There are as good/better players who aren't subject to Civil/Criminal charges of ANY kind.

I'd see it being something like:

MacDonald
Ghost
TB's 1st round pick.

The Flyers would HAVE to move some salary in the deal, and would have to pay a little bit of a premium to do so.

I don't want to give up Ghost but that would be the only way to get rid of McD's contract I don't know how I feel about this.

How nice it would be to have a 2nd line scoring center for a change

I'd like Colin Wilson from Nashville

I'm kind of meh on Wilson. I don't think he's much different than BSchenn. He's got 176 points in 354 NHL games, Schenn's got 123 in 259 NHL games. Almost identical ppg, plus Schenn is a little younger and was much more productive in his pre-NHL days.

A 2nd line scoring center is absolutely a need though. Unfortunately I think the draft is going to be the best route to finding it. So it could take a few seasons.

It would be nice if Schenn or coots would get their head out of their asses on most nights and contribute offensively. They both disappear for long stretches offensively during the season.

I know I'll get dumped on for this, but I would love to have Brad Marchand

I think he is worthy of being a 2nd line center and while he might have had better stats because he had better players around him, there's no denying that he's a force when he's on his game - I think the Flyers need a guy with a mix of skill and bite and snarl and Marchand is a perfect fit for what they need - I think his wrist shot is as good as anyone, it's lethal and I saw him take over the games this weekend and that's the type of player the Flyers need - he's a legitimate game changer when he's on his game - he's been stellar this season

Brayden Schenn I certainly agree with, he's just not consistent enough imo

Couts is one of those guys that I think gets wrongly utilized - if you want more offense from him, put him on a scoring line and tell him, "Don't run around offensively and put yourself out of position but you're there for offense so use your offensive talent" - don't stick him with garbage and expect him to provide more offense - that being said, it is frustrating with him as well because he does get a fair amount of ice time and you would think averaging 18 minutes or so a game, that he'd have SOME more offense, maybe not a LOT but some more to the point where you're not wondering if he's ever going to provide enough offense to be in important roles
