What if game...

1. Ohio State (loses to Michigan and Wisconsin)
2. LSU (beats Georgia Tech and loses to Georgia)
3. Clemson (loses one or both of their remaining games)
4. Georgia (wins out)
5. Alabama (beats Auburn)
6. Utah (loses one of their remaining games)
7. Oklahoma (loses to Oklahoma State)
8. Minnesota (loses to Wisconsin)
9. Baylor (loses to Oklahoma)

Actually, this scenario might put SEC the top 3 seeds.

Ohio State or (not and) Clemson could go undefeated for this scenario to work as well.

Of course they would. They probably are trying to figure out how they can get 4 SEC teams in.

If they did I would still watch.

LSU doesn’t play Georgia Tech.

Ohio State ain’t losing to any of those other Big10 scrubs.

At very best, there’ll be two SEC teams in the playoff.

Neither of which will beat Ohio State or Clemson.

I don't think there's any doubt that Clemson goes 13-0. Ohio State might have a tough time with Michigan but not in the CCG.

Screw all those SEC teams.

This is an unlikely scenario, but anything is possible.

We have to keep in mind that the committee is mostly geographically diverse and wants to see different conferences into the final four.

No.

But it’s funny as hell to listen to the prehysteria of some thinking that shit COULD happen.

There is a reason Chicken Little was written...

The irony is that I bet the last thing LSU, Georgia or Alabama want to see is other SEC teams in the Playoff. Never have understood that.

As an Alabama fan I would be happy to see another SEC team in the playoffs, because there isn't a scenario where we get in otherwise...

Conferences hell, I'd just like to see different teams from those conferences! And I don't blame that on the regular CFP teams. I blame their conference mates. They could take care of this during conference play/CCG if they would so the committee wouldn't have to select the usual suspects.

Since the CFP began.

ACC, only 2/14 teams (FSU, Clem)
B1G, only 2/14 teams (tOSU, Sparty)
Big 12 only 1/10 teams (Oklahoma)
Pac 12 only 2/12 teams (Oregon, Washington)
SEC only 2/14 teams (Bama, Georgia)

Soooooo, I'm for LSU and Utah getting in. That would at least add some new spice to the mix.

It'd be nice if a Wisky, Minnesota or Baylor made it...but I just don't see it.

There should never be more than 1 team from any conference in the playoff...unless they never played each other....Bama and Georgia 2017
