The only thing dumber than the dugout dance and that shark thing is the Phillies waving to the dugout whenever they achieve the feat of getting on base.
Yeah, those things aren't for you. It's superstitious habit with the dances, sharks, glasses and other things, meant to keep the players in a rhythm.

The Nats got hot at the right time this season.

If the Nationals take down the Dodgers and Astros that would be on of the more impressive feats by a team we've seen in recent memory.

Absolutely amazing, but it’s not over yet. Astros take two and it’s a brand new series.

They are playing good old fashioned baseball, a great combo of long ball and small ball, most importantly, not leaving many on base.

Yeah, the shark thing is kind of a funny/interesting story though.

23 years since a team came back to win the series after dropping the first two at home.

How do the Astros not have any lefties on that roster?

Are there rumors out there the Red Sox are scouting him?

no but with his connection to Cora and part of a team that the Sox want their organizational philosophy to be built around...he makes a lot of sense.

now is not a time for them to get self righteous.

Nah. It's just an enthusiastic outlet by normal competitors and even fans. Not meant for anything like keeping players in a rhythm although it may do that. It's like spiking a football or doing a jig in the end zone. Some antics are cool; some are silly; it depends on what you like. I like the Braves' chop; the shark seems too silly. Once when the Phillies got a hit in Atlanta, the runner on first gave the fortnite wave, whereupon Freddy Freeman then returned a mocking wave. LMAO.

The Braves don't do the tomahawk chop; that's the fans who do that. This is some sort of absurd locker room / bench tradition. Baseball players are superstitious guys. They believe if they do this stuff, they'll have success. As regards the baby shark and walk-up music, it's absolutely the reason Parra started doing it.

Nationals are +33 in run differential in the past 8 playoff games. If a team makes a mistake on them they just drop 3 or 4 runs like its nothing.

I'm reminded a little bit of the 2012 Giants. 93/94 wins in the regular season. Giants won 3 straight against the Cardinals and then went on to sweep Verlander and the Tigers in the WS.

Nats have been bludgeoning opponents for a while now. +175 run differential from June-September.

I remember Ted and Jane doing the chop in their front row seats years ago.

That Stros-Yankees only went 6 but I see your point. It might just be the Nats year and they are red hot at the perfect time. They can't let up now bc the Stros are one of those teams that only needs one big hit to turn things around.

I wonder if the Nats have a lead after 5 or 6 if we dont just see Corbin again and have joe Ross go game 4 on a months rest.
