Impressed by Ball? He's looking good imo.

looked REAL good last Friday. let's see what he does against the Wizard's tonight. Marcin Gortat was already trying to get into the kid's head by bringing up John Wall...

Yeah, it should be interesting.

One time I passed by Jim Hill on the way to the locker-room for some post-game interviews and was shown on CBS.....some guys from La Canada HS saw it and commented next time I was at a LCHS football game.....I was like a local celebrity......

LOL.

Nice!!! Did you get a parade too? Hope you did!

I thought that whichever league won the All Star Game that the representative of that league in the World Series got the home field advantage. I see though that the game is in L.A. so I guess that's no longer the case?
Changed this year.

No chance this is a sweep......regardless what happens tonight.

This is baseball, deep. Anything can happen. At this point, the only thing there is no chance for is a sweep by the Astros.

If the Dodgers win tonight, Astros will face Darvish on Friday, who was nasty in his last start against the Cubs.

I'm not saying the Dodgers are going to sweep (or even win the series), but it's certainly possible.

Not against this Astros team imo.

George Springer became the 14th player to go 0/4 (or worse) with at least 4 strikeouts in a World Series game. First to do it since Pat Burrell in Game 3 of the 2010 World Series.

Agreed. However, if I had my way, AL/NL home field advantage in the WS would be based on the cumulative record of interleague play.

not sure I like that because it could punish a team that won 10+ more games, but it still makes more sense than the All-Star Game.

Goes both ways.

Current system could "punish" a team that won 1 less game in a significantly stronger league.

I like the idea of the best league gets home field advantage and cumulative interleague records is the best measure of that.

Ultimately, I don't give a shit, though.

Also, calling it "punish" sounds really gay.

"he didn't pitch all 9, he sucks"

hopefully the Dodgers win and everyone can finally recognize his greatness.
I don't think you'll find many, if any who don't think he's already great, in the regular season. The post season is a different story altogether though, where his career ERA is about 2 runs higher. It takes some longer than others to really shine in the PS, and it looks like he may be turning the corner this year. Maybe.

A big part of it is the bullpen is now trustworthy. Kershaw no longer has to throw a 125 pitch gem in order to secure the win.
