A lot of folks think we will add a fifth injured pitcher, in Kershaw. I hope not.
Don't want Kershaw mainly because he's really bad in the playoffs and would likely cost us games in October - IF he isn't hurt again before then.

I wonder what it would take to get Jesus Lazardo from the Marlins.

I guess if they had to start play today, the 26-man roster would be:

Heim
Huff

Lowe
Semien
Jung
Seager
Smith
Foscue

Carter
Garcia
Taveras
Duran
Martinez

Eovaldi
Dunning
Bradford
Gray
Heaney

Leclerc
Yates
Sborz
Burke
Latz
Anderson
Rodriguez
Church
that would not convince me to buy a 20-game ticket package

a rumored deal by the Minnesota twins was Edourdo Julien, Emmanuel Rodriques and Max kepler so i would assume that it would take an offer of Carter, Langford and probably Walcott just to start the conversion.

MLBTR had a deal rumored with KC sending Vinnie Pasquantino to the Marlins for him. I guess that would be the equivalent of Nathaniel Lowe.

In a trade rumor for Marlins' Cabrera, Rosenthal previously named Texas Rangers infielder Ezequiel Duran as "the kind of player the Marlins likely would want for Cabrera," although Rangers general manager Chris Young has said the club has "a super high bar" as to what Duran would cost in a trade.

I would rather have Luzardo, but I don't have to have either of them.

Listened to an interesting podcast. Apparently Amazon is offering to bail Bally’s out and will get the streaming rights to the games that Bally’s broadcasts. So that Bally’s keep broadcasting rights for 2024.

Don’t think Rangers are included

Bally doesn't own the streaming rights to the Rangers games.

From The Athletic:

Diamond, via its various Bally-branded regional sports networks, currently carries 11 MLB teams’ TV broadcasts: Los Angeles Angels, Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, Cleveland Guardians, Miami Marlins, Texas Rangers, Tampa Bay Rays, Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers.

But Diamond is said to currently only carry the digital rights to five of those teams: the Tigers, Royals, Marlins, Brewers and Rays.

Therefore, even if Diamond and Amazon do wind up with a court-approved arrangement, Diamond could not stream games via Amazon for any of its other MLB teams beyond those five. Of course, other teams and MLB could negotiate with Diamond for expanded digital rights access, but MLB and Diamond have not seen eye to eye on the worth of MLB’s streaming rights.
