Winter Classic Tickets 2011

What's the deal with these? I'm googling for information and I can't find anything. I see some resellers have them for sale. Aren't they doing a lottery? Did this already happen?

If anyone knows more about this, I'd love some details or a site to go to. Thanks.

the tickets haven't been released yet. i wouldn't go through a company though, because they DONT have them yet, and that's just fishy. i really wanna go to this...but i know the man who would buy them for me (father) would probably just complain that it's too cold and you can't see the game well.

Who is planning on going to this game?

If they do a lottery, I was wondering if some of the posters not interested in going to this game might sign up on behalf of those of us that do. I guess we may need to wait for more details though.

I am planning on going, depends on a few things, but yeah the plan is for me to be going

I think CR (or was that 46?) mentioned he has season tickets and should be able to get some. He also mentioned he probably won't be able to attend. I got dibs on those.

I will be able to purchase tickets through my Pens season ticket account so i will definitely be there. I am assuming we will only be able to purchase the equivalent of how many season tickets we own, and if need more will have to go through the lottery.

Making plans to fly home for it, I am going to be TDY for the opening of the arena so this is the next best thing. My brother is a season ticket holder so I am not to concerned with getting a ticket.

god, these are the moments when i wonder WHY THE HECK I HAVE ZERO FRIENDS WITH TICKETS. seriously...i need a few rich friends. if anyone wants to just...ya know, give me a nice christmas gift, i'll be happy to accept.
