He is 5-46 against teams with winning records. Doesn't matter home or away that is his record. And of course then 0-3 in the playoffs. So most of his wins have been just feasting off terrible teams. He is a QB that can put up some major stats but when it comes to the ability to win when the team absolutely needs a win he just doesn't seem to have it.

LOL...Dear Lord, I didnt even think it was that bad, and I thought I heard it was a road thing, but apparently not

Didn't the Lions get porked out of a playoff win a few years ago?

I can't recall the details, but something tells me they lost a game they should have won.

Yes, they absolutely had the Cowboys beat in Dallas.....An absolutely blatant non Pass Interference call on Eric Ebron up the sideline, on 4th down, which would have put them in easy game winning FG range.......I mean, really blatant non call

They did- but the Lions record vs winning teams (more commonly [wrongly] attached to Stafford) is kind of a canary in the coal mine over such a long sample. That roster just wasn't that good.

Probably not, but he's better than quite a few who have won SB's. Dilfer, Eli, Flacco just to name a few.

So he's Phillip Rivers of the NFC......

Yes.

He isn't re signing w the Lions.

If he goes to Denver, he will win multiple Superbowls.

Rumor is his wife doesn't want her kids in MI schools (can't blame her).

Houston is a realistic destination too.

Interesting because I read a article from last year that he wanted to stay with the lions.

I think things have changed. Kids will do that to a couple.

No

I forget the numbers, but Matt Staffords' career ROAD numbers vs teams with .500 or better records, is just dreadful
Including the playoffs, he is 1-26 on the road against teams with winning records. The one win coming at Green Bay in 2015.

Hopefully not while playing in the NFC north.

Stafford is the kind of QB that needs a really good team around him to make a deep run. He couldn't even win a playoff game when he had possibly the league's top defense and Calvin Johnson. He would certainly have to leave Detroit.

Man...I see why Megatron said No Mas!

That was the exact MO that Matt Ryan had for the 1st 5 or 6 years of his career.

The record is hard to dispute. Stafford does have to own a good share of that record, but before we can lay it all at Stafford's feet we first have to go back and look at his performances in those games. That wouldn't tell the whole story because he could have run up stats in garbage time. Secondly, home and away does matter. Typically teams with winning records win at home. Finally, I wonder of those 46 losses vs teams with winning records how many times were they the more talented team or the favored team.

This is damning on Stafford, but he's just one guy. IMO, it's even more damning on the Lion's organization.
