There's hope for the top QBs drafted since him, including Luck, Carr, Cousins, Dak, all really except Dalton. Stafford will always have to deal with Rodgers until he retires. And because of that the lions will have very few chances with a division crown in a Rodgers somewhat down year. They are 0-3 in the wild card round enough as it is. At some point when will Stafford say enough is enough and go where he has a better chance at a sb ring?

He's never had an Online until this year, and he loses his LT for the year. Never had a run game either aside from the few games w Jahvid Best before Best broke his head. Still don't have one.

Letting Suh go destroyed any chances too. Suh was the only guy Rodgers feared. Now he just mingles with his blockers for 50 seconds before throwing hail Mary TD's.

At least now Stafford has a competent GM. I hope.

With the roster the Lions got, I strongly doubt that Stafford would take the Lions to their first Super Bowl appearance. They don't have the team to get there.

He needs to frame this picture and look at it every day for motivation.

The Lions are the just the Dolphins of the NFC. That team better beef up the roster fast if it wants to be taken seriously. Sleight of hands usually work for only so long in the NFL.

You couldn't post a picture of Rodgers and the lombardi?

Oh nvm, I see what you mean now.

Well, he owns Brees. Brees loves to stain the bed vs the lions and let Stafford best him. Good thing they get two weeks of preparation this time.

Good parallel...I will say, the Lions were closing in on a solid playoff roster when they drafted Suh, Fairley, and Avril up front. For whatever reason they could never put enough around Megatron and Stafford. Then, they started losing those key pcs on DEF and have more or less been spinning their wheels in mud since then.

The Dolphins made dumb draft choices, and essentially tried to make up for it via FA...a different way to spin your wheels, but nonetheless, they have mostly been spinning their wheels as well.

The short answer as you've already posted...no.

No

I forget the numbers, but Matt Staffords' career ROAD numbers vs teams with .500 or better records, is just dreadful

Hmmm.... I want to be a contrarian here and say 'yes'... How the hell could that possibly happen?...

Oh! How about this!?!...

Stafford will make the Superbowl in 8 years as 48-year-old Tom Brady's backup!

He's got a year left on his deal. Anything is possible.

Denver is still a QB away from being the only team in the AFC that could make the Patriots work for their annual trip to the big game.

He is 5-46 against teams with winning records. Doesn't matter home or away that is his record. And of course then 0-3 in the playoffs. So most of his wins have been just feasting off terrible teams. He is a QB that can put up some major stats but when it comes to the ability to win when the team absolutely needs a win he just doesn't seem to have it.
