ball boys would take these approved balls to the field and on their way, stop and let air out.

The Wells Report said that was impossible. Why do you think they made that error?

Why? Because this whole situation has been terrible for both the Patriots and the League with this bad PR. I'm sure the league told them many things that would help out in this situation trying to save face.

First, the one thing we can surely agree on is that the league fucked up all over the place. So your last sentence is unfounded.

Further, even if you are right, what you probably mean by "told" is something like "suggested". However, in the case of the ball boys, "told" means something like "ordered". So your point is wrong or irrelevant.

OK, let's make it more specific. The League said that with the single exception of the AFCC, McNally was always escorted to the field by security personnel. So when do you think the deflation occurred, and why do you think that?

Also, I'm confused in another way about your position -- do you think the Pats deflated balls only at home, or also on the road?

heres one example:

“The report acknowledges that game officials specifically allowed Mr. McNally to take the game footballs from the dressing room of the Officials’ Locker Room (where the referee was) into the separate sitting room (pg. 55). No one told Mr. McNally that he could not then proceed to the field with the footballs. When the NFC Championship Game ended abruptly in overtime and Mr. McNally started from the back of the sitting room towards the door to the hallway, he walked by numerous League officials in the sitting room. “As the report states (pg. 55), the sitting room was crowded with ‘NFL personnel, game officials and others gathered there to watch the conclusion of the NFC Championship Game on television.’ Mr. McNally had to navigate this crowd of officials to make it through the sitting room with two large bags of footballs on his shoulders.

The judge didn't rule on his guilt or innocence, he ruled on whether the NFL has the authority to suspend him.
Niether did the NFL. That's why they went the obstruction route. The NFL could only come up with a more probable than not, not a guilty verdict.

Pats fans refuse to accept that this isn't criminal court.
I think most Pat fans accept it wasn't a criminal case. If not we had you and 100 other haters reminding us daily. What you and other haters refuse to accept is that even under the CBA it still has to be fair and just. Goodell is a moron by not having Pash testify. Damn $40 million a year just doesn't get you what it used to I guess?

This was not a criminal case. Your assertion means nothing. Just like in civil cases, the standard of proof is much lower. As in more probable than not, as opposed to guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Let me repeat myself. The judge only ruled on the authority to suspend a player for those infractions, not on the procedure or outcome of the NFL's ruling.

See post #50. If Goodell had anything substantial (in the court of public opioin) the investigation would've ended there. Brady and the Pats found guilty and receive whatever punishment Fuhr Rog wanted to give them. Since there were so many holes in the report he left himself no wiggle room. So he changed the accusations of tampering to obstruction. By not allowing Pash to be questioned he was doing the same thing he was accusing Brady of, obstruction. If Goodell worked for anyone else he'd be in the unemployment line today.

Brady* was caught at the Mexican border after being accused of murder, and than denied committing the murder

He's not dumb like Hernandez. He gets the body guards to shoot at someone for him.

Absolutely. And he did that. He just probably destroyed and ridiculed the NFL position for additional entertainment value. (like enclosing quotes around "independent" every time he mentioned the Well Report)

Who says the law can be dull.. :)

The NFL can't force a team to just fire somebody without some kind of reason. That is how lawsuits happen.

Just from the standpoint of being the QB your gonna know if the football's have less air... But the center would know also... receivers would know also, so it's not just Brady who knew... that being said, destroying his cell phone was and eye opener, there was something on that phone he didn't want people too see... I don't think Brady is being totally truthful about not knowing anything, with how much that guy prepares and competes, if those football's were not to his liking he's gonna let someone know... Bottom line is though, were talking about slightly deflated football's ... from now on the football's should just be guarded and checked right before game-time... Problem solved...

So did Antonio Gates. I'm just waiting for the investigation of other chargers players who knew Gates was roiding. Those guys should be suspended too. Right?

Or are you going to switch back to being a Titans fan?
Correct. Gates and Brady both cheated.
